Good on you man.[/quote]
Seems silly to stop when the rest of me works okay, y’know?

I mean, this guy found a way to train, so what’s my excuse?

looking good tony. I didn’t read far enough back to hear about the new gym, but anytime any gym has a platform and bumpers its time for celebration!

I do feel pretty lucky. A side benefit is listening to all the trash-talking the young guys do while they’re lifting. They’re hilarious.
Doc says I probably have some torn cartilage in the knee and turned me on to a non-surgical therapy for it. Good news is that it will get better, though it may take a while.
I also learned that while sitting in the office waiting room that pork has more protein in it per ounce than beef.
I love pork.

Gym owner wants me to join his PL team, or so the hearsay goes. Got this from talking to member of the team tonight.
Dunno. It’s WABDL, with bench shirts and deadlifting suits. Not my sorta thing, really, but I guess we’ll see what happens.
Good luck with the knee. Keep up those awesome workouts.
I don’t think you HAVE to use gear in the WADBL. The WADBL and SPF had a combined North America’s l;ast year and it was pretty cool.

I was looking at the rules last night and it’s true that you don’t have to use gear. They don’t have a separate category for raw however. Since WABDL does team scoring, it would be in the team’s best interests for me to suit/shirt up so as to get the best individual score I could - if I were on the team.
Could be interesting, if anything comes from this talking that is.
I like lifting raw as well, but I think it would be fun to toss on a suit and shirt once in a while for sh*ts and grins. If I had a team to help me on a regular basis I’d probably give it a go. You never know, you might really like it.

Knee’s feeling better what with the wide-stance squatting. Starting to use my right adductor and buttcheek more in the bottom and it’s relieving some of the stress that the knee joint has been taking up for the last while.
I may come out of this with better squat form than what I went in with.

Knee felt good…er. It was like a sauna in there and the extra heat really loosened up the catch in my knee. Got full range on the squats with tolerable pain. Decided against a backoff set since I was sharing the cage with another fella and he wanted to do some standing presses.
Didn’t see much leg development in the male population. Dude I was sharing the cage with thought I was doing a lot of weight, so I hid my self-disgust and basked in the adulation.

We used to call these guys lollipops. All big upper body but no legs. The guys who bench and curl 4 days a week.
Glad your knee pain was tolerable.

Light bulb and yield sign are other good nicknames for many a commercial gym bench/curl champion.
