Congrats on the PR Tony, thats a lot of Oly work right there. You are really starting to own it.
Maybe. On The first attempt @215 I was friggin’ scared and so push-pressed instead of jerking. I don’t quite understand how I can be so confident on the 210 but freak out on 215. Anyway, I got pissed off that I had gotten scared and so attempted it again, quickly, before I could think too much about it.

Backed off of PR territory on the quick lifts today, Shoulders are feeling beat up. Boosted weight on squats and it was fine. Reps were solid, if not fast. I’ve been babying myself for too long, it’s time to move some iron. Work on speed later.
Aaaaaand the 215 push press. Even though inadvertent, it was still a PR. As you might be able to tell, I wasn’t terribly pleased about it. I also thought I might have broken the floor…

I don’t mean to rub salt in the wound but…she’s way cuter than you as well.
I mean you’re cute but…sorry, man.
You cut me, Git…cut me deep.
Gotta go wit Git on this one, man. Sorry.
Great lifting, though. Brother you made those weights your B…, nevermind, you owned 'em!
And, I was wondering about the whole Albino, thing, but, well…
Just keep it up, man, you moving IRON! (more than me, too, which means the cutie is stronger than me as well. I look meaner though!)
Wasn’t going to train today because I’m feeling flu-ey, but then I thought of Pete and his training the day after projectile vomiting all night, girded my manparts (such as they are) and did some stuff.

My right hip and leg are screwed. I can’t make it move fast enough either forward or back. It was getting better by the last 2 sets, but it needs a fair amount of strengthening and just plain being used more. I see lunges in my future. Good news is that I can feel split jerks working some of the supporting muscles around my shoulders a bit differently and in a good way.
I thought sure I would get 400+ tonight. Got it to my knees and my low back said it was going out for some fresh air. The good news is that I know 385 would have gone up (had I done it), which is the weight I failed at last time. Discouraging, in that I’m 130 lbs off my best DL, but at least the arrow is pointing towards progression…
Good enough. After the way the 245 and 275 went up on FS, I thought for sure I’d grind through a nice all-time, regardless of bodyweight, PR, but 'twas not to be. Couldn’t even get out of the hole. Tonight’s were the fastest and easiest FSs I’ve done at those weights.
Incline bench continues to advance. Only 20lbs off from all-time best.

Kept it short tonight. Still feeling like pre-ill. Went well. Jerks were under-powered tonight, though the launch from the shoulders was good, just not strong. I might have cut the 315 squat a smidge high, but bottomed out the 285 double to make up for it.
Snatches were an orgy of dead-ugly. Good news is I’m pulling too far back, bad news is that I’m somehow doing it without finishing the second pull. Back to form work at a lower weight.
Went close grip on presses to save my shoulders a bit. Index finger on the smooth part of the bar. I’m nearly as strong with that grip as my conventional grip.
Had to concentrate hard to keep my chest up and butt back on FS today. Soon it will be habit, since it makes FS so much easier.
