Gonna have to bag the “train every day with a split” idea. I’m lucky if I get three days to train a week.
First training session where I felt I could have done more on DL. Trying z-presses again. Best 5-rep is 145 and best 1-rep is 165 so I matched an old PR.
The ‘slut’ double-standard has always annoyed me. If a woman sleeps with a bunch of dudes, she’s a slut, but if a guy goes out and does the exact same thing, all of a sudden he’s ‘gay’.
Reppy kinda day. Bunch of fellas doing some big benching today. One took exception to my squat form and gave me some suggestions - which happened to be correct BTW, so I lowered the weight and did my form well enough to elicit a positive response from my critic. One of the guys benching could’ve given Meat or Pete a run for his money. Good stuff to see in a chromo-gym.

I don’t like z-presses all that much. they are hard. But they train me to bring the bar back over my head earlier, so I’m doing them. I couldn’t get the standing 180 because of my soft middle, but I was popping everything before that. Z presses are good for that.

Just keeping my hips under the bar instead of doing my usual good-morning type of squat. He was afraid I would hurt my back, so I obliged him. Everything felt heavy anyway, a good indicator that I need to go lighter and for reps.

Getting there. I’m down about 5-10% from where I was on all lifts, but I think that’s pretty good for right now, what with the extra busy-ness I’ve got going on. I’m getting a kick out of my gym - I’ve already been accused of juicing by some mini-pumpers who are even skinnier than me and warned about hurting my back by squatting. Not squatting incorrectly, but squatting at all.
Great stuff all around, good jobs, good gym, good suggestions, good use of the super-anabolic #3.
Now, if you’d just get off the juice…I think the body is capable of some pretty awesome growth when you get the food/sleep/lift/life thing figured out. too bad most people never try to figure it out.
