Until the Wheels Fall Off

Working out at home is dangerous.
I broke my baby toe this morning on some dumbells I have stored near a wall corner.
I thought Legos were bad…

Been there, done that. Last week I pinched blood blisters on two different parts of my hands with the 10 lb plates of all things.

Bench Press

Didn’t take enough rest between 2nd and 3rd set

BB Row

Wide Neutral Grip Pulldown
170 3x8

Skull Crushers

Mad about the missed rep. Rushed the set.

Got to work face pulls/BPAs in. Getting spikes in the back of the shoulders while overhead pressing even after warmup.

Gym doesn’t have the branded neck-gaiters in stock yet, so I cut the arms off an old-long-sleeve polo shirt and that seems to work okay. Easy to mouth-breathe through, which I’ll need on squats today

This was ok.

Pin Paused Deep Squat

This was miserable

I am definitely more of a deadlifter than a squatter.
Gym’s branded gaiters arrived so bought 2.

Started to do CGBP, but I was pretty well cooked by then, so did pressdowns. Still tired after yesterday.

That walk back from the gym is a chore. Calves and right hip trying to lock up.

Due to work I missed my gym-scheduled workout window.

Looks like sandbags today.

Various picking, walking and pressing of sandbags
somexsome @100 @150

All of it easier than in the past and was able to do more of it than previous, so I have gotten a little stronger.

Just checking in. Looks like you’re still going strong.

It’s the slow comeback. By the time I’m 90 I should be back at my old levels.

Fell off the wagon. Zero interest in training. zero interest in walking to training. Zero interest in wearing a mask during training, especially as mandated by the county. Can’t breathe properly.

Maybe back to sandbags and kettlebells at home.
Or not.

Maybe I’ll just let myself go to pot.

Totally understand, I feel the same.

Don’t do it man. Don’t let “it’s 2020” get the best of you.

You didn’t come this far, to only come this far.
It’s okay to rest, but not quit. If wearing the mask ain’t working, try something else. Weren’t you doing pretty good with sandbags and KB?

I agree with the others. If nothing else, find a new way to train. Maybe take a week off, rest up and promise yourself you will get back at it.

Got my eye on buying the 200lb sandbag. The 150 is too easy now. Cogitating on programming. I’m not going back to the gym until no masks.

Want some 70lb kettlebells too.

That’s the spirit!

^^…what I would’ve said…lol

Have you tried overhead pressing the sandbag?

I’m a big fan of this guy (lots of kettlebell stuff):

Yeah - the hundred is simple now, but I’ve only come close on the 150, not quite succeeded yet.
