6/2(1+2)= ?
Well have at it.
There’ll be murders done soon where I work !
Before you state 1 or 9, please include your reasoning behind it.
hmmm seems the site has issues with the Math why wont it accept the divided by sign ?!?!

Ok, so 6Ax2(2+1)? I don’t get the A with the el Nino sign on it.
2(2+1)= 6, i got that part.
36"Ã?"
Cause you suck
So it’s 6/6? Really dude?
We’ll do Parentheses, and the distributive.
6/2(3) comes to 3/3 or 6/6, depending on what you do with that 2.
Or start with the 2 and you’ll have 6/(2+4)= 6/6
Maybe someone smarter than me can explain what makes this so ‘unsolvable.’
multiply and divide have the same priority, so you go left to right once you get it down to 6/2*3. so 9

Why did you choose to multiply the parenthesized numbers by 2 before dividing the 6 by 2?
you mean 3 x 3 or 6/6. Hence the confusion.
It’s not unsolveable, just controversial. Or so Ive heard, Im not good at math.
It’s 9, multiplication and division are on the same level of operation so you go left to right, (6/2)x(1+2) = 3x3 = 9.

How did you get 6/6
Why do you think it works your way ?
Man this site is buggy as hell with doing math

Disagree. it would be either 6/2 first or 2x3 first, still giving either 6/6 or 3/3.

YOur confusing me with where you are getting your numbers to be fair.
3/3 how did you get that out of 6/2(1+2)

Well you got what I think is the right answer, and I’ve done more math than well anything

How would you get 3/3? If you do 6/2(what you should be doing) there is no more division.
(6/2)(2+1) = 9
6/2(1+2)
Distributive property on the 2
6/(2+4)
Parenthesis
6/6
6/2(1+2)
Parenthesis first
6/2(3)
solve left to right
6/2 =3 so 3(3… Oh. I stand corrected.
I still say it could be 1!!!
6/2(2+1)
(2+1)=(3)
6/2(3)
2(3)=6
6/6=1

But do they ?
Who claims that ?
Now welcome to our hell.

My Dear Aunt Sally, whom I hope you’ll Please Excuse.

You can’t do Addition before Multiplication or Division.

You have to multiply the parentheses first, its 6/6 or 1 however they want it answered.
