I wouldnt take it any further than matter of factly saying that “Teacher made a certain comment about my physical appearance and I dont appreciate it. I dont feel like coming to class and discussing my physical appearance.” Dont get overly emotional about it and dont embellish the truth any more than you need to.
People can tell when other poeople (kids) are bullshitting, you aren’t dealing with robots. If you mention your OPINION about her lifestyle your bias will be exposed and you wont get anywhere. Who she is has nothing to do with it, NO ONE should be passing judgment about your appearance unless you ask for their opinion.

Assuming that she is not a total psycho (big assumption here), she probably was not trying to offend you. It is her class, and she was voicing her opinion. If you uncomfortable in her class, then go to her office hours and tell her that you were offended by her opinion. You can try logically pointing out her fallacy, but she probably does not care.
Why would she make the statement to begin with? Was it to make some sort of point as it relates to Sociology or was she just voicing her opinion? After speaking to her, if you feel that you have been treated worse, then you might want to go to her department head; if that fails, the Dean; then the Vice President, etc. If she is making you feel worse for your physical appearance, then the University could be liable.
That being said, nothing will probably come of this. She is making herself feel better by putting down others. Why waste your breath?
