Of course I’ll keep cheering and hoping, but I’m not very confident about Ottawa at this point… ![]()
That was bullshit, he kicked it in. That was a home ice ruling…
That last goal was solid though. Ducks better pick it up. Anyone still watching this thread?

Home ice ruling was my feeling too, but it surprised me the ref called it a no goal to begin with considering that. Props to him for that call, too bad it wasn’t held up.
Senators took that one and deserved it. Some serious hockey on both sides. We’ll see what the next one brings. I’m hoping/praying for the full seven games. After that there’s no Hockey until the fall. ![]()
Go Sens Go!!!
Tiribulus where are you? Don’t tell me your hockey stops with the Wings. Sharks lost too, but the season doesn’t stop there. Waiting to hear your thoughts on the current series…
Cheers,
RW
Guys, on the “kick” thing, you are allowed to redirect the puck with your skate… as in change direction.
However, the “kick” that would be disallowed is if the motion of the leg is used to push the puck at the net.
I’m not sure I’m making the difference clear, but the replay showed a redirection without his foot “sweeping” the puck in… though after the redirection he did bring his foot ahead so he could stop (but it didn’t hit the puck during that motion).
Anyhow, nice to see some goals coming from here and there. Ottawa really needs to get some support from other quarters if the main line is not going to be making it’s normal contribution.
I can barely stand to watch the game!

Well aware what the rule is, I’d like some consistency with it. That exact same motion has been ruled a kick countless times.
As for the game, solid game by the Sens, never expected that high scoring after the first 2 though.
heh, Senators won that that one fair and clear. The big question is whether or not the Ducks can regain the momemtum or give the edge/game back to Ottawa.
I wonder if Pronger will get another suspension for that elbow to McAmmond?

I’d at least like to see them start calling him for his elbow and arm use, it was brutal and blatant at various times throughout the game.
I can’t believe the ref did not call that on Pronger, there is no consistency with the refs in this game. So far this year i have seen called 2 charging penalties (what the fuck?) 3 elbows, 1 Playing with a broken stick, and 1 Playing the puck outside the protected zone (Goalie.)
I have seen each of those penalties easily 10+ times (except for charging…seriously, what the fuck? Isn’t that just roughing or boarding?) go uncalled.
They need to establish some consistent calls otherwise players have to continue to use the first period to test the water to see how the refs are feeling that day, it’s getting ridiculous and needs to be addressed.
Ummmmm…there is no such thing as a "home ice " call. The people up in the replay booth are from the NHL, not from Ottawa. Would have been called a goal in Ottawa or Anaheim.
Pronger has been suspended for 1 game. I would have thought it would have been more because there was intent to injure and he is a repeat offender in these playoffs, not even mentioning how he plays during the regular season.
Good to see we might actually have a series now though. after the first 2 I was a little worried
Well Pronger has been suspended again and won’t be playing Monday’s game.
McAmmond will sit out with a concussion.
Now last time when Pronger was out, Anaheim won anyway so I’m hoping the results will be different this time.

His elbow and arm blocking had a lot to do with making it difficult to get in past him to get the puck…
So, having him out might make it easier for Ottawa to generate offensive chances. Calling the penalties as they happen might help too!

I wouldn’t count on it, the last time it just got the Ducks fired up.
Man, way too much stress watching the game tonight…
Ducks finally took that one. Some serious hockey on both sides I couldn’t beleive Ottawa didn’t score at 4 on 3 and then 5 on 4 after that. Anaheim was riding some serious penalties tonight. Pronger not playing has become an odd good luck charm…
