I do believe the next game will define the rest of the series. If Anaheim can tie it without Pronger (a real possibility, make no mistake Wings fans) we are back at square one. If not I wouldn’t be shocked to see a 5 game series.
If you compare Anaheim’s regular season record with all three of their best D in the lineup to their record when they were missing one or more of their top three- let alone when they were missing Pronger- you will realize how fucked they are. They have no depth back their to make up for his absence. Detroit would have to lose it for Anaheim to win it if you catch my drift. [/quote]
Never underestimate a Detroit sports team’s ability to squander a golden opportunity.
Ottawa is going to the finals for the first time in modern franchise history.
Unfortunately the first day of my training to get certified as a PT happened to fall exactly when the game was on. I got out and the first intermission was just starting. I was driving about 150 Km/H trying to get home to watch a tiny bit of it but the sens scored as I was about half way back.
I must have layed on the horn for a good 5 minutes celebrating that goal LOL. The guys on the radio were going nuts too
Wow. Instead of showing OT for an elimination game NBC shows an hour of fluff stories before the Preakness. I understand cutting away for the meat of the event since it’s surely a bigger ratings draw, but not even PiP box? Now I know that jockeys wear six pairs of goggles. My life is complete.
Oh man, that is brutal. Luckily I live in Canada and the only time they would cut away from hockey is if the prime minister dies or maybe the president of the US if the game was 5-0.

I know how you feel. I’m a Sens fan and I near had a coronary yesterday, not to mention the stroke i suffered when f*&*ing crappy-ass NBC bailed in OT to that bullshit fluff piece for the preakness.
Neds stepped up a little and had a key goal (likely with his foot broken again).
Selanne has 5 points in 2 games.
Giggy is playing well.
There are still a couple of players that need to live up to their potential, but it’s good to see the biggest guys coming through.
This is what Neds/needs to happen for Anaheim to win. Having said that, they are so inconsistent that Detroit is still the favorite to win. As long as both teams play well, I don’t mind losing as much.
BTW-It is this consistency of greatness that makes great teams, like Detroit and Ottawa.
Red Wings killed the Sharks, Duck quaffed the Red Wings. California is back in the Cup! On to Ottawa! Ducks are gonna have to really get it together or its gonna be a quick four games for Ottawa. Time for another Guiness!

Giggy’s got to keep it together, and the anaheim forwards gotta put the biscuit in the basket like they did tonight.
