Neds is leading the Ducks in plus/minus (on the minus side of course). He is only one of three players on the entire roster, who actually play, to be on the minus side.
At least Selanne scored all of the goals for Anaheim last night.
Giggy was stellar, stopping 10 of 13 shots.
LOL, things are not going your way in the post season this year buddy. I feel fer ya and others who have to watch their team eliminated. Not enough to wish it were the other way around, but I do mean that as sincerely as possible.
Selanne is making Marleau and Iginla look like series stars BTW. Don’t even hardly hear his name. I don’t know what’s goin on with him now either.
I do believe the next game will define the rest of the series. If Anaheim can tie it without Pronger (a real possibility, make no mistake Wings fans) we are back at square one. If not I wouldn’t be shocked to see a 5 game series.

Holy shit, another one!!! It might turn into a hockey game yet!
Unless Buffalo can regroup during this intermission it may NOT be a hockey game after all as Ottawa mugged control back from them seemingly at gunpoint.
That has to be the most abrupt and complete change of momentum I think I can remember seeing in a hockey game ever.
We had a couple good ones in round 2, but not like this.

If you compare Anaheim’s regular season record with all three of their best D in the lineup to their record when they were missing one or more of their top three- let alone when they were missing Pronger- you will realize how fucked they are. They have no depth back their to make up for his absence. Detroit would have to lose it for Anaheim to win it if you catch my drift.

OK, but we also lost both games in Anaheim during the regular season and Pronger was in for one and out for one. Obviously I’m on our side, but I’ve been though this enough times to not start planning for the next series when this one is 2-1. Especially seeing how little regular season stats have meant in the post season, especially this year.
On another note, sorry Vroom, but I was hoping against a sweep for the Sens for obvious reasons. Gotta give Buffalo credit for not rolling over.

A question for all the others who live in detroit/ottawa/any other town in the playoffs.
When your team had an away game, did the home stadium still have people watching hte game in it?
I think this is the first year i can remember Buffalo doing anything like this, wondering if any other teams do it.
over 10,000 attended last night’s game 4 (played in Ottawa) in Buffalo.
Yes. In the late 90’s when the Wings were establishing a top tier team, the Joe hosted people to watch the away playoff games on “Joe Vision”. At first I think a lot of people went. It was a novelty that wore off in about 3 seasons I’d say.
Now with ticket prices in the stratosphere (i’ve heard $1,000 but have no idea what that would get you) and the local economy in the dumps this is the 1st year that Red Wing home playoff games haven’t sold out so I doubt they are still doing “Joe Vision”. Of course we’ve got the Pistons and Tigers doing great as well so that could explain it too.
Personally I love watching the Wings in my basement with my hockey and lacrosse teammates while drinking beer that isn’t $10 a cup and eating pizza that isn’t $15 for 6 slices! And at period intermissions we have air hockey and pool to pass the time!
Go Wings!
I’m gittin the butterflies already. We HAVE GOT TO win this game tonight. It will give Anaheim a tremendous confidence boost if they can pull this off without Baby Huey and after that massacre they suffered last game. Gotta twist that dagger while it’s in deep.

We’ll take 'em any way we can get 'em.
Another PP, time to score again.
Yeah for Anaheim. Very disheartening. They are giving away the opportunity to really control this series.
EDIT: We now officially deserve to lose this series and the cup. If we can’t capitalize on an opportunity like this to at least squeak out a win then screw it.
