UnKillable Kleinhound 2: This time he's more unkillable-er

If a local company has profit, isn’t that better for your immediate community? Not sure how things are taxed in the US though, but I’d hope that the taxed part of the purchase would stay local if you buy local thereby reinvesting in your own space.

I get that some places are more expensive it even if you are paying $20 a kilo for your meat, a 200g (50g protein) portion is still only $4. Add some rice and beans or rice and veggies and you still wouldn’t be at $10.

Barf!

However in the heat of the summer I get it. I crave Coors Light on the golf course. Never Busch Light though. I’d barely drink it in college.

Come on, spend at least a few more bucks and get something enjoyable. Yuengling is a good example.

I’ve been on an amber, stout and porter kick lately. I had a oatmeal and coffee porter last weekend that was so good my wife told me to shut up, I couldn’t stop talking about it.

Last night was 4 Yuenglings at Olive Garden lol

Busch Light has to be bottled. Cans are different and worse. I normally end up buying the cheap stuff along with something good. I’ll start with one or two good ones and switch to the cheap stuff if I want more.

Lately I’ve been going with Sam Adams Cold Snap. The local craft stuff is $10 per six pack. That’s better than drinking at a restaurant but it drains the beer fund in a hurry.

@Voxel, the liquor store is local so some of my money stays here. I like to support local businesses and buy organic and all of that stuff, but I just can’t afford it.

Haha yeah I hear you mate but I’d rather pay a little more for my food and spend a little less on other areas and still be within my budget

When I have kids I won’t spend this much, but I might as well now while I can afford it

Nasty one today

I can’t use that as an excuse. I’m currently watching the Chiefs game alone and drinking my vanilla Crown. I have plenty of time to cook.

But I think it’s awesome you can make those meals work. I would eat better with those since there’s variety and veggies. My post-workout lunch was a double protein shake followed by a 8ish oz chunk of boneless pork loin. I think I can work on body comp if I stop living off bread but it’s tough. I also saved calories for my whiskey. I’m still on my first drink. I was four deep at this point in last week’s Chiefs game.

Wasn’t being critical mate. If I didn’t have too many kids to feed I would happily let someone else take care of all my meal prep too. Play on.

I feel like this took on a negative vibe and that wasn’t my intention, either.

Sorry, @kleinhound. Just ignore me.

If my son eats like me then my food budget is going to double. I might have to charge him.

Looking strong Klein! Your workouts ALMOST make me want to mix in a little conditioning work.

It is $11.75 for a six pack of Busch in Canada, ~$3.50+ per can of craft beer. That is how we pay for our healthcare. :beers:

I actually feel pretty good about the Chiefs’ chances, but no. No burpees.

Back under a barbell today, felt good

  1. Super set KB front rack lunges & GHR 3x8-12
  2. Box squat against a purple and a red band, top single 200kg
  3. Conditioning 21-15-9 T2B/chins/run 300/200/100m

Bloody good session. Doing hams and quads first made squats feel way better. Conditioning was awesome too
