Cool. Thanks man!
Other academy student
“I want to get strong AND fit like you, what should I do?”
Me
“Here is exactly what I do gives program, start right away, change nothing and be consistent”
Him
“Oh cool, but I’ll swap this around and change this, and then instead of conditioning each day I’ll just do one cardio day where I use the eliptical”
Me
“No problem…best of luck.”
Lmfao It is not surprising that most people who go to a gym get little to no improvement beyond the first 6 months where even a complete imbecile can improve.
Definitely getting stronger.
Forgot my belt today but hit a paused 205kg squat off a box and it actually moved quick.
Also definitely getting smarter
Didn’t say ‘fuck it’ and try to add more weight
Win win

Nice to only use BW

Excellent.
Was doing 10 Cal sprints on the assault bike and
Managed about 6 rounds where I was putting out over 1000 watts. Happy days, or unhappy days considering my lungs and legs now lol
Yesterday probably deserves to be logged.

While he was completely disrespectful, I have to ask, did you give him the program you are currently doing or did you give him what you started out with?
In short, both.
The Built Like a Badass program is one of the first serious programs I ever used, and am using again. It’s 3 days per week, and very achievable
I wouldn’t start anyone out with HIIB100 lol. That would bury them
Have been absent from your log a couple of weeks.
Good to see you’re enjoying the academy.
Great workouts too.
And the convo with the other student was so funny, it seems that everybody wants a program and when given they change it, hilarious… my self included.
Exited to read up on the fiance thing.
From my experience, everyone wants results but no one wants to work for it.
And, Mort, you earn the right to tweak things when you’ve proven that you can follow a program to the letter and put in the work. You’ve done that.
First, you learn how to work hard by following a program. You also learn the fundamentals.
Later, you learn how to work in a way that is best for you. You find strengths and weaknesses and train accordingly.

Every. Damn. Day
PRd today with 12 reps at 100kg on bench
I think the consistent floor press + weight gain helped.
I think I’m holding it well, slow process though.
Also, OC spray is effective lol
12 reps at 100 is very solid benching mate. Good work.
No surprise here but you’re stronger than me and I outweigh you by damn near 30 lbs!
I’ve never been shot but I think I’d rather be shot than ever get sprayed with OC again. I’ve been sprayed twice and it takes me at least three days to recover.
When I was a corrections officer we had to get the MK-4 stream across our eyes during a course and it was terrible, but not nearly as bad as the Marines, when they had the giant MK-9 canisters, covered our faces in a thick mist and we weren’t allowed to start until they could see the whites of our eyes. And by “start”, I mean run an obstacle course. A couple people forgot to breathe and broke down completely. I volunteered to go first (pretending I was a badass but really because I was scared and the anticipation was killing me) and got through it. I didn’t know my body could make that much snot.
You’re the second LEO I have heard say this.
Mean bench @kleinhound
How’s the academy? How long before you’re on the streets and how long is the field training phrase?
