Uck. That sounds awful. Unless your job is having someone study you while you sleep. But I somehow doubt that.

Right, so last Tuesday night at about 7pm I started feeling crook. Ended up having mega gastro and spent the night vomiting violently.
Super sore the next day but spent the day in bed trying to rehydrate. The following day my back had seized up and any type of bending etc resulted in painful as fuck spasms.
Turns out I did myself a disc mischief in my turbo chucking efforts. Have seen a phsyio and am on some hardcore anti inflammatories and gradual mobility plus multiple daily walks to sort it out ![]()
Imagine my greatest injury not coming from some sort of suspect interaction or gym hero lift. Fucking life ![]()
damn mate and here’s me winging about my suspected bicep tear. Hope you come good soon mate.
That’s some serious vomiting! Hope it heals up quickly.
I don’t think it’s going to put me on the shelf for too long. Just getting the inflammation under control and then getting all the supporting muscles to fkn relax and I should be able to start loading it slowly again
True StrongDad injury that, more injury proned sleeping or coughing but perfectly fine lifting 200kg. Hope it heals quick mate!
If you don’t mind my asking, are you a vegitarian?
Negative. I was for a few years, about seven or eight years ago. Wife is, so I’ll eat vegetarian if I can’t be bothered to make a meat alternative but most of the time I eat meat or animal products
Ahhh. Gotcha.
No way someone with Quads that big can be a veggie
Lol. That’s kinda what I thought. But there was a mention of it in his summary. My oldest is a vegitarian. I was just thinking if he was he could offer some advice.
To be honest there’s very little difference that I’ve found in terms of athletic performance etc. Easier to gain being vego due to incidental carbs while getting protein, and a bit easier to stay lean/lose fat while eating meat for the reverse reasons
I also think, if you’re trying to gain size, protein is not AS important and you can get away with less because you’re in a surplus
Huh. Hadn’t thought of it that way. It’s not a major concern at the moment as he is a runner and that is where his priority lies. But he said when he is done running (will depend if he gets to run in college) he wants to lift and put on some muscle. He eats lots of eggs and dairy and supplements with protein shakes. We try to buy the cleanest powders that we can and he adds lots of fruits and yogurt and the such. Anyway. Sorry to clog up your log with my sons dietary adventures. Thanks for the input.
