No ‘conditioning’ piece tonight as I brought this session forward to fit in BJJ tomorrow when I wake up…and also my body was cooked after high rep block pulls and squats haha
I’ll fit the conditioning portion in during the week because it looks fun
90 minute no GI class
Focus on Kimura trap for sweep, invisible Kimura and Kimura from side control
Had some good rolling rounds.
Managed to hold some good positions, find some escapes etc.
Highlight was using threatening an arm triangle from mount to set up an armbar. It was such a nice ‘click’ moment in my head when he was defending the arm triangle and I realised it was exposing the arm.
I’ll keep working on that any time I’m able to get mount until I can do it consistently.

First time I’ve used the heavier KB and it definitely changed it up a bit. HR was lower into the run but my glutes and hams had done more work. Love it

Drilling from good and bad positions
I had some great rounds and was able to use some sweeps and passes. Took submissions where I could but really wasn’t “hunting” for them
Defended well tonight too, submitted many, many times but I was escaping initial attempts and getting caught on second or third goes.
Such a fun martial art and so so so much to learn

I cook most of my own meals and they’re either high protein high fat, low carb or high protein high carb, low fat.
I don’t really have any method behind my approach other than checking the scale and if my weight is going down I try to eat more
It’s also important to know that GAINING and MAINTAINING weight has always been my challenge and is currently my goal
