UnKillable Kleinhound 2: This time he's more unkillable-er

Sounds like my every day diet minus the salad!

Didn’t Stan efferding say something like “fakes drink shakes, eat more cakes?”

Seems right…

I’ve not heard it but, if you say so I’ll definitely count it as a reason to carry on my dirty ways - Stan Ef said it and he’s lean and huge!

Wednesday sessions are becoming a real ‘grease the groove’ session. Hit the minimums and they feel good

I don’t have trouble breaking sticking points on the scale! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I had more cake tonight. I have to get rid of it to start my recovery.

I’ve used that one too

No joke: it’s actually taxing on my psyche when I throw away junk food.

I’ve regularly had to throw away leftover pizza that’s reached it’s spoiling point, cupcakes, cake, cookies, etc etc.

My fatboy instincts go nuts when I do this. I NEVER let those foods “go bad” when I was a kid. In truth, things were competitive between my dad and I when it came to finishing off leftovers. To this day, I still eat lunch at 1100, because it’s a habit I picked up to make sure I’d get to the leftovers before my dad did.

All this to say that it’s possible to not finish off the cake…but at what cost?

I 100% agree with everything you’re saying (apart from the leftover pizza thing, I legitimately have never had any). But that’s because I also have a little fat boy/young man inside me.

They never go away, no matter what.

Its like being an alcoholic. Once a fat kid always a fat kid. Although in my case, I got a bit of a late start at the fat kid lifestyle. I didn’t really hit my waddle until I was in my early 20s.

The addictive nature of food is legit, especially with all the crap being put into it. Dopamine response and all. We’ve chatted previously about our fast food addictions, and I still get excited seeing breakfast cereal, poptarts, and all that junk. Now I try to channel that into energy drinks, haha.

Sorry to derail the topis here @kleinhound You’re just killing it.

I don’t know how I wasn’t more than just a little chubby as a kid. In junior high, a regular lunch prepared by me at home was three of those mini/personal pizzas. I’d cut them into fourths so each one was four pieces for a total of 12. I was always disappointed after I ate the 12th piece. I wanted more.

Wife and I went out last night to celebrate 6 months of wedded bliss.

Ate amazing food and drank delicious beer, amazing wine and delicious cocktails.

Felt a bit sluggish today so the GC was short and sweet

5min warm up
2.4km run (1&1/2mi)
5min cool down

3 rounds of arm pump supersets, hitting different heads of bicep and tricep

9:06 for the run which surprised me considering how I felt leading up to it

Bit of sprint work at the park

  1. 6 lateral shuffle/25m sprints
  2. 6 L sprints
  3. 6 25m sprints from prone

Then ran out a cruisy 5km. Not fast just rolling the legs over. 27:40
