Today was a de load
- Squats 2x4 at 140kg and 1x2 at 160kg
- Bench 2x4 at 80kg and 1x2 at 90kg
- Deads 1x4 at 140kg and 1x2 at 160kg
The saving grace being I get to go balls out max reps with 170/92.5/170 on Thursday or Friday so that’s cool
Anyway…I hate deloads
My deloads are just weeks where I don’t train due to other life events. I have one coming up at the end of September where I’m going camping/fishing for a week.

deadlift 170kg x10
Reviewing the videos for squats and Deads I definitely had more in the tank, it’s just been ages since I’ve done high reps at heavy weights.
The calculation for increasing tms was a bit fucked up…it had my squat 1RM jumping to 235 and dead to 240 which is, imo, not in my cards right now
I’ve taken the moderate adjustments of
Squat 210kg
Bench 120kg
Deadlift 220kg
All numbers I believe I could hit right now.
Onwards and upwards
The Wendler equation comes out to 225 and 220. Your calculator is mean.
It’s good to see you doing non-cheat deadlifts and you definitely quit early. I’ve only done one AMRAP of deads in a long time and my quads were tired from squats. The determining factor for ending the set was the fear of losing control of my knees and hyper-extending one or both of them.

Saw 300 and decided I wanted to look like that (like everyone else)
Messed around with CrossFit workouts at commercial gyms but with no real plan
Went to uni for exercise physiology and read 531, fell in love with squatting. Learned to how to program
Trained at a strongman/powerlifting gym with Patrick Morrison (manletmorrison) one of AUS best.
No competitive lifting history or anything.
