Time to dive into Deep Water.. Just Ask @T3hPwnisher ![]()
I’d started that before covid happened tbh but I was looking for more of a peaking program. It’s for sure on my to do list. Probably once I’ve levelled up my supertotal and have some new (or actually accurate) 1RMs to work off
Also wasn’t a fan of only squatting once every other week (not including the light technique work)
I was really only pulling your chain mate. Iknow you do plenty of hard hard shit either way.
Haha no harm no foul brother!
Dark horse!
That is an outstanding answer! Love it
I still haven’t given HIBB a shot. But I’m enjoying my training and making progress so there’s no reason to change it.
I’d say you’re an inspiration with your effort, but I still can’t force myself to train as hard as you. I don’t think that counts as being inspired. ![]()
I guess you could say I’m impressed and find your training approach to be quite admirable. I also think you’re one tough SOB.
You’re far too kind my man! You’re someone who’s opinion and advice I always hold in high regard so it means a lot
Day 1 and 2 went well
Trained Monday with my friend who’s a very decent S&C Coach. Couple little tweaks to my snatch set up and they felt awesome today
I smoked the bench and squats today. Absolutely blew up the 2x8 at 140kg which surprised me a bit. Feel like my body is coming back
I feel like it won’t be long until I can push towards double digits with 400lb again
Power variations went awesome
Deadlifts felt strong, adjusted my foot placement a little and it was a good move.
Is your front squat the same as your squat?
Haha fuck no. That’s an error on the spreadsheet calcs
I figured your Olympic lifting had just made you really proficient at front squats
Lol nope.
Or maybe my front squat is in line with my O lifts because they suck pretty hard
W6 day 1
- Squats 3x4 with 160kg
- Front squats 3x3 with 110kg
- Bench 2x8 with 85kg and 2x12 with 70kg
- Reverse grip bench 3x8 with 60kg
- Chins 5x10
- Rolling tricep extension SS hammer curls 3x15
Today was awesome, except I forgot my lifters so squatting felt a bit weird, especially front squats. Rev grip bench lit up my chest like crazy. I have never done them before lol
Added 2 extra sets of chins because I like them
Went pretty heavy on the tricep extensions for me, which was good, as I usually cruise on the accessories and really want to push up my bench
Squats felt like butter. Wraps didn’t really give me ‘spring’ but they made it feel like a box squat so I could just focus on driving out of the hole. It was awesome. Could easily have done 145 for sets of 12+ I think. Big squat numbers coming. Back off sets in sleeves felt great too.
Ignore the conditioning piece down the bottom. That’ll be a ‘fight gone bad’ style stand alone workout. I was just brainstorming lol
