Actually, typing in all caps mean yelling or shouting and is really, really annoying.

If you want to emphasize your words, please use italics or bold. You can even use [b]both[/b]. It is easy to do and much less annoying to read.

I don’t get it, you expect to remember that, I can’t remember ONE order if they wanted cheese or cajun or regular fries at a donut shop/diner if I didn’t write down ONE order, how can you expect to remember stuff if you don’t write it down, huh?

If I knew I had 10-15 tables, I’d write EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY** request down and that means if the person wanted a check and a box, I’d write that down. I couldn’t remember it just from my memory, but if I wrote for example:

Table 6 wants
mozzarella sticks
burger with cheese medium well
mayo mustard ranch
chicken sandwich with just cheese and lettuce only
fries no seasoning

Table 7 asks for their check, a bag, and a box.

Table 8 asks for a brownie, their check.

Table 9 asks for 5 refills, 1 coke, 3 diet cokes, 1 sweet tea.

Table 11 asks for a side of ranch, extra napkins, and more bread.

See, HOW HARD IS THAT TO WRITE EVERY*** DETAIL DOWN SO YOU CAN** at least TRY TO GET THEM RIGHT, huh?

See, for example, I have forgotten some things on grocery lists, but guess what, I have forgotten them MUCH MORE TIMES if I never wrote it down.

My grocery lists around 98% of the time I don’t forget stuff I have written down and that’s when I go after work when I have eaten dinner yet, so I am thinking about coming home I am hungry even and sometimes there for around an hour at times shopping. My point is, if you aren’t willing to write *EVERY SINGLE SOLITARY requests down, then HOW can you complain then? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN IF YOU DON’T TRY YOUR VERY BEST. Seriously, servers in our state make only $2.13/hr, but how can you expect us to care if they don’t care, huh? Caring is a 2-way street, so if you don’t care about every detail to not A. Write things down, B. Compare the written order or requests to any obvious errors, then HOW can you expect someone else to care about your money if you don’t care about them, huh?

I don’t get it, I really don’t WHY you expect to not write things down knowing you have 10-15 tables? Then, when things are forgotten, you spend MORE TIME with having to go back each time to get the forgotten items, and I bet your type doesn’t even say you are sorry even, am I right?

As I said above, I have forgotten more things when I didn’t write things down and reread my lists than when I did. So that means writing things down and then reading them again DOES HELP AT LEAST 90% of the time honestly. Some times I forgotten stuff is when I didn’t write it down neatly enough or I skimmed too quickly, but hey, at least I wrote things down, because most of the time, there’s NO WAY I would have remember some of the things.

I know you think that your tip is the end all be all, but it’s not. You show you could care less, I will in the tip. WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND. Treat me like crap, so your tip will be just that, crap. I will tip much better if I see my server wrote things down, then forgot and apologize vs. no writing things down, then forgot and then didn’t say they were sorry. It’s not the mistake, but the lack of showing you CARE**** about someone else besides yourself.

There’s a huge difference in what you call a mistake and what a mistake really is. If you didn’t write things down and got things wrong that you had control over whether it was put in the order wrong and/or brought out the wrong item or forgot something obvious, then NO, that’s not a mistake, that’s YOU being TOO LAZY TO HAVE *TRIED YOUR BEST to have gotten the order correct. If I saw my server wrote my order down, that’s more points already added to the tip just that it shows “I CARE IF I REMEMBER WHAT MY CUSTOMERS ASKED FOR.” IT conveys that vs. being too lazy to write it down and then a good 90% of the time they don’t write it down, they mess up or forget something.

If they got it right, I won’t count off, because well, they have a good enough short term memory, but most servers don’t.

A real mistake is one where the server writes down EVERY DETAIL that was asked and reread their written tasks, then forgot. If you didn’t do so, it’ honestly PURE LAZINESS AND I WON’T FEEL SORRY FOR YOU WHEN TIP TIME COMES THAT YOU SHOWED YOU DIDN’T CARE BY NOT EVEN AS YOU ARE CONVEYING THAT YOU CAN’T “REMEMBER” THINGS, YET, it sounds like you won’t WRITE THEM DOWN**.

WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

It tells me:

A. You are being too lazy to TRY to remember what I said.
B. You are a VERY UNCARING, SELFISH person that you aren’t willing to try your best not to write things down and then reread them.

We have, even when we were more polite than they were. Most servers don’t say they are sorry. Also, some actually blame the kitchen staff when you can clearly see DUHH, it’s our server’s fault such as once our waitress that brought out our food blamed the cooks for plating 2 sets of beans when my husband ordered the food as it came off the menu. I mean, ok, it came with RICE AND BEANS, that means DUHH, that waitress didn’t verify by blaming the cooks, because she would have never did that. Think about it, you see a plate with 2 sets of beans and another with beans and rice, well DUHH, our waitress could have noticed that BEFORE she decided to leave the kitchen.

I have also had where I saw while on the tray and asked about my potato salad, which the waitress said something about the kitchen blaming others.

Another time, we had our waitress forgot a baked potato my husband ordered and she read the ticket on the tray and left. HOW RUDE. I mean, he wasn’t mean, he just was very NICE about it and instead of admitting whether she forgot to put it into the computer or bring it out, either way, it was HER FAULT 100% that she decided to leave the kitchen without the side dish.

I would have immediately apologized said I was SO SORRY and not have taken up my customer time to look at the ticket. I would have verified my written order instead which would have been more accurate more than likely in the KITCHEN.

She didn’t apologize even when she brought it back and my husband even told her “Thank you” even.

SO YES, WE HAVE HAD CRAP when things had gone wrong. You don’t eat out enough apparently.

The beans and rice issue was at On the Border just to say and it was our FIRST TIME THERE EVEN, but WE KNEW THE MENU BETTER** than she did and it was like 4p.m. on a Sunday, so it was pretty slow. That’s how uncaring and lazy she was.

It does make sense. ANY condiments, like mayo, ranch, mustard, tartar sauce, etc. can be BROUGHT OUT NO MATTER WHO BRINGS OUT THE FOOD ********** BEFORE THE FOOD IS READY. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

For example, I had a waiter bring out our appetizer that isn’t going to see any of our tip which is honestly unfair, but anyway, our WAITRESS THAT IS SUPPOSED TO EARN HER OWN TIP COULD HAVE BROUGHT OUT THE 2 ranches BEFORE* the appetizer came out and not depended on someone that isn’t receiving any money from us that isn’t going to care.

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

It was to show that the original person that claimed most of the issues weren’t the server’s fault were VERY WRONG is all. That’s the ONLY reason WHY I said this. The thing is, if I were a server KNOWING I messed up pretty badly, just as a waiter did for us, he asked for a comp. That waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order. I feel in that case, at least a coke off the bill for our inconvenience. We got $5 off our check and tipped 16% BEFORE the discounted amount. It was because our waiter profusely apologized and acted like he cared about us by offering us something for free to make-up for it. I did see the reason why. At one point before we found out, I saw him hugging someone he knew, so you see, he was playing, so in turn, we got our stuff messed up, so YEAH, I don’t think we owe him the full 20% when he wasn’t busting butt, but at the same time, we tipped that due to NO ONE will asks for a comp for the customer to get in trouble with their manager and they only care about themselves instead of being nice and acting like it was THEIR dining experience that was ruined.

Yes, because the were supposed to ******WRITE ALL DETAILS DOWN AND THEN ***********NO BE SO LAZY TO COMPARE THE WRITTEN ORDERS TO THE PLATES OF FOOD FOR DETAILS THAT ARE DUHHHS LIKE DUHHH, sauce is on ribs. We have, even when we were more polite than they were. Most servers don’t say they are sorry. Also, some actually blame the kitchen staff when you can clearly see DUHH, it’s our server’s fault such as once our waitress that brought out our food blamed the cooks for plating 2 sets of beans when my husband ordered the food as it came off the menu. I mean, ok, it came with RICE AND BEANS, that means DUHH, that waitress didn’t verify by blaming the cooks, because she would have never did that. Think about it, you see a plate with 2 sets of beans and another with beans and rice, well DUHH, our waitress could have noticed that BEFORE she decided to leave the kitchen.

I have also had where I saw while on the tray and asked about my potato salad, which the waitress said something about the kitchen blaming others.

Another time, we had our waitress forgot a baked potato my husband ordered and she read the ticket on the tray and left. HOW RUDE. I mean, he wasn’t mean, he just was very NICE about it and instead of admitting whether she forgot to put it into the computer or bring it out, either way, it was HER FAULT 100% that she decided to leave the kitchen without the side dish.

I would have immediately apologized said I was SO SORRY and not have taken up my customer time to look at the ticket. I would have verified my written order instead which would have been more accurate more than likely in the KITCHEN.

She didn’t apologize even when she brought it back and my husband even told her “Thank you” even.

SO YES, WE HAVE HAD CRAP when things had gone wrong. You don’t eat out enough apparently.

The beans and rice issue was at On the Border just to say and it was our FIRST TIME THERE EVEN, but WE KNEW THE MENU BETTER** than she did and it was like 4p.m. on a Sunday, so it was pretty slow. That’s how uncaring and lazy she was.

It does make sense. ANY condiments, like mayo, ranch, mustard, tartar sauce, etc. can be BROUGHT OUT NO MATTER WHO BRINGS OUT THE FOOD ********** BEFORE THE FOOD IS READY. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

For example, I had a waiter bring out our appetizer that isn’t going to see any of our tip which is honestly unfair, but anyway, our WAITRESS THAT IS SUPPOSED TO EARN HER OWN TIP COULD HAVE BROUGHT OUT THE 2 ranches BEFORE* the appetizer came out and not depended on someone that isn’t receiving any money from us that isn’t going to care.

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

It was to show that the original person that claimed most of the issues weren’t the server’s fault were VERY WRONG is all. That’s the ONLY reason WHY I said this. The thing is, if I were a server KNOWING I messed up pretty badly, just as a waiter did for us, he asked for a comp. That waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order. I feel in that case, at least a coke off the bill for our inconvenience. We got $5 off our check and tipped 16% BEFORE the discounted amount. It was because our waiter profusely apologized and acted like he cared about us by offering us something for free to make-up for it. I did see the reason why. At one point before we found out, I saw him hugging someone he knew, so you see, he was playing, so in turn, we got our stuff messed up, so YEAH, I don’t think we owe him the full 20% when he wasn’t busting butt, but at the same time, we tipped that due to NO ONE will asks for a comp for the customer to get in trouble with their manager and they only care about themselves instead of being nice and acting like it was THEIR dining experience that was ruined.

WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

It tells me:

A. You are being too lazy to TRY to remember what I said.
B. You are a VERY UNCARING, SELFISH person that you aren’t willing to try your best not to write things down and then reread them.

We have, even when we were more polite than they were. Most servers don’t say they are sorry. Also, some actually blame the kitchen staff when you can clearly see DUHH, it’s our server’s fault such as once our waitress that brought out our food blamed the cooks for plating 2 sets of beans when my husband ordered the food as it came off the menu. I mean, ok, it came with RICE AND BEANS, that means DUHH, that waitress didn’t verify by blaming the cooks, because she would have never did that. Think about it, you see a plate with 2 sets of beans and another with beans and rice, well DUHH, our waitress could have noticed that BEFORE she decided to leave the kitchen.

I have also had where I saw while on the tray and asked about my potato salad, which the waitress said something about the kitchen blaming others.

Another time, we had our waitress forgot a baked potato my husband ordered and she read the ticket on the tray and left. HOW RUDE. I mean, he wasn’t mean, he just was very NICE about it and instead of admitting whether she forgot to put it into the computer or bring it out, either way, it was HER FAULT 100% that she decided to leave the kitchen without the side dish.

I would have immediately apologized said I was SO SORRY and not have taken up my customer time to look at the ticket. I would have verified my written order instead which would have been more accurate more than likely in the KITCHEN.

She didn’t apologize even when she brought it back and my husband even told her “Thank you” even.

SO YES, WE HAVE HAD CRAP when things had gone wrong. You don’t eat out enough apparently.

The beans and rice issue was at On the Border just to say and it was our FIRST TIME THERE EVEN, but WE KNEW THE MENU BETTER** than she did and it was like 4p.m. on a Sunday, so it was pretty slow. That’s how uncaring and lazy she was.

It does make sense. ANY condiments, like mayo, ranch, mustard, tartar sauce, etc. can be BROUGHT OUT NO MATTER WHO BRINGS OUT THE FOOD ********** BEFORE THE FOOD IS READY. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

For example, I had a waiter bring out our appetizer that isn’t going to see any of our tip which is honestly unfair, but anyway, our WAITRESS THAT IS SUPPOSED TO EARN HER OWN TIP COULD HAVE BROUGHT OUT THE 2 ranches BEFORE* the appetizer came out and not depended on someone that isn’t receiving any money from us that isn’t going to care.

NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

It was to show that the original person that claimed most of the issues weren’t the server’s fault were VERY WRONG is all. That’s the ONLY reason WHY I said this. The thing is, if I were a server KNOWING I messed up pretty badly, just as a waiter did for us, he asked for a comp. That waiter forgot to put in our appetizer order. I feel in that case, at least a coke off the bill for our inconvenience. We got $5 off our check and tipped 16% BEFORE the discounted amount. It was because our waiter profusely apologized and acted like he cared about us by offering us something for free to make-up for it. I did see the reason why. At one point before we found out, I saw him hugging someone he knew, so you see, he was playing, so in turn, we got our stuff messed up, so YEAH, I don’t think we owe him the full 20% when he wasn’t busting butt, but at the same time, we tipped that due to NO ONE will asks for a comp for the customer to get in trouble with their manager and they only care about themselves instead of being nice and acting like it was THEIR dining experience that was ruined.

Yes, because the were supposed to ******WRITE ALL DETAILS DOWN AND THEN ***********NO BE SO LAZY TO COMPARE THE WRITTEN ORDERS TO THE PLATES OF FOOD FOR DETAILS THAT ARE DUHHHS LIKE DUHHH, sauce is on ribs. Come on now, a customer can see that on the freakin tray even. COME ON NOW, that’s a DUHHH MISTAKE.

WE ARE (((((((((((PAYING**))))))))))))))))) OUR SERVERS TO GIVE A CARE MORE THAN JUST LIKE MCDONALD’S TO HAND US SOMETHING AND NOT GIVE A CARE IF IT APPEARS RIGHT OR WRONG.

YOU AREN’T PAYING US, SO WE AREN’T SUPPOSED TO VERIFY OUR ORDER, (OUR SERVER) IS. That’s what most of the tip is for why we don’t tip fast food workers(unless it’s sonic) and why we tip our servers at non-fast food restaurants.

WHY ARE YOU SO UNCARING AND LAZY, then YET, EXPECT GOOD PAYMENT, HUH?

YOU ARE UNCARING FIRST, WHY IS THAT? WHY ARE YOU SO LAZY ASS?

Because a good 90% of the time it’s not a mistake. It’s laziness.

Please answer these with honestly please:

  1. Do you WRITE ALL things down?

  2. Do you COMPARE THE WRITTEN ORDERS OR ALL REQUEST TO THE FOOD OR WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING OUT for any obvious errors such as bbq sauce not on ribs or a wrong side dish or a missing side of ranch or a missing side dish, etc., huh?

If you don’t, it’s not a mistake, is it, it’s pure laziness and being VERY UNCARING about WHAT YOU ARE DELIVERING TO YOUR TABLE as far as anything you don’t have to touch the food to notice the mistakes or mistake.

The fact that most servers are like you DON’T WRITE THE THINGS FUCKING THINGS DOWN AND THEN EXPECT TO REMEMBER THEM, THEN DON’T THEN MOST SERVERS NO MATTER HOW NICE YOU ARE, MOST DON’T SAY THEY ARE SORRY EVEN.

The problem is mostly the ******LACK OF EFFORT FROM THE GET GO.
