Undershooting My Calories?

Hey

I am 27 years old, 5’9 and weigh right around 164 lbs. I would estimate myself right around 11 or 12% body fat. My goal is to get to 10% or just below so I can get that six pack for the summer. I use to eat 250 g protein, 180 g carbs, and 60-70 g of fats a day. Due to some research about a week ago I discovered that I was not eating properly. So I switched it up and use some BMR calculations and daily activity formulas and came out with a usage of 2,320 calories for maintenance.

Now I am a school teacher so the most exercise that I do is standing up and moving about the room during my job. But I work out 6 days out of the week for about an hour to an hour and a half. I made it about a week and a half and I got to the point where I just felt light headed and like I needed to hammer down some food. Does it sound like I am really undershooting my calories which caused this or did I just have a weak moment and break down?

180g carbs=720 calories
65g fat=585 calories
250g protein=1000 calories…for a grand total of…2305 calories

Something’s amiss

Lightheadedness is in all likelihood blood sugar related and may not have anything to do with caloric intake. It sounds like you need to read up on the basics of nutrition…

Too much protein and not enough energy calories (fats/carbs).
