While i endorse the use of marijuana for various reasons, and personally feel that there’s a lot worse shit that a young kid can be put through…in this day and age, i feel that the young ‘uncle’ had a lapse in judgement.
That’s bad, but I suppose they could have been sucking on worse.
Also I gues this happens a lot but through secondary inhaling, there are probably people who watch that clip and think its bad yet still smoke in the house/car while there are young kids around, which is just as bad.
I think this a bit old, last spring I remember seeing it on bitchface’s show. (Nancy Grace) A lot like you said Tribunal, I’m a proponent of the fine, green herb. There is a responsibility that comes with using, though, and the uncle (and his friend, who was also there,) did NOT flex that responsibility.
Anyone watch No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain? There is an episode that I believe was from somewhere in Indonesia where he was watching a ram fight(yes, rams)and a group of boys in the crowd were smoking. They couldn’t have been older than 6 or 7. It’s always fascinating to see things that would be so taboo in our culture be totally acceptable in other parts of the world. Then again, other parts of the world tend to not have their heads shoved way up their own asses.
The problem I see with a pseudo-capitalist society, is the presence of far too many sacred cows that the public isn;t willing to defile. The knee jerk reaction to the news was funny…right until people see that the “uncle” is himself a boy.
Aw man, that is just wrong. Weed should be restricted like alcohol. To those OVER 18.
On that note, there’s some stuff I heard from an iranian friend, about a little custom between mothers and newborn sons (that I won;t describe in this forum) that most of the western world will frown upon.
Sometimes though, we just have to adapt to the ways of the society we choose to live in without complaining.

I’m going to go ahead and assume your talking about breastfeeding, seeing as there’s so many fuckwits over here that think it’s a mortal sin for a mother to feed her newborn child in public.
All right, lets go with that.

Yeah spill it. Spill that breastmilk.
Wow I didn’t even know I was going to type that.

Hahaha. I agree though, now you’ve just piqued my interest, tribunal.
Hold on…I’ll try to find a link and post it instead. Be patient.

Not at all. I don;t want to be branded a pervert for posting what I was talking about, thats all. After what happened with headhunter, I don;t want to take any risks. Its not too diffuclt to figure out what I might have been referring to, and my Iranian friend showed me a link sometime last year (about his caucasian wife posting on some kind of “nest” forum for young couples regarding her mother-in-law’s behavior) Basically its a tradition there that is supposed to ensure the young man grows up healthy and “normal” but one that most will be disturbed by here. I don;t want to type it out by meself and get ostracized. Be patient, or lets all go with the breastfeeding thing. It served the original purpose after all.

I lol’d
Here is another link to what I was talking about (didn;t find the original, but this is about the same thing).
Search for the word “iran” and read the bit yourselves. This is what I was referring to, for the curious.

Never doubt tribunaldude.

That’s a little odd. But then again I’ve heard my sister-in-law’s mother talk about her son’s “velvety scrotum”, so it’s hard to impress me after that.
