Keen to get an understanding of the various TRT clinics here in the UK being used by others, and their experience.
TRT seems to be gaining more and more momentum, certainly in the UK and more and more places are offering TRT.
I’m currently with Optimale, and have been for the last 4 or so months. Their service is quick and efficient and staff really nice, so no complaints there. I can’t compare their pricing to others, but £109 a month doesn’t feel a train crash (pins, swabs and other med costs are extra)
My dosing, meds and protocol has moved around a lot. And has been suggested that the approach is ‘throw things at the wall and see what sticks’ and it is feeling like that. With the latest suggestion to stop test and AI, but continue with HCG only.
Firstly I’m thinking of dropping the HCG and AIs, and continue the test. Which goes against the dr’s suggestion. But after some research it does seem to make more sense. But open to being completely corrected
Secondly, I’m thinking of switching company / provider. If there’s a good alternative or at least sharing my blood work and talking to them
If you’re not concerned about fertility, hCG isn’t needed most of the time, except for ejaculatory/sensitivity problems. AI’s are for men on cycles, not for replacement therapy.
When you’re paying a plummer to do a job, you’re paying him his fee based on his years long experience. If you’re paying a lower monthly price for your TRT when compared to other TRT clinics, most of the time you get what you pay for.
I have no reference point on costs from clinic to clinic. Optimale seems to be the most marketed here in the UK, not that it makes the best, but certainly more known. But others are starting to become more well known
Fertility has never been a concern, since I’m in my 40’s and so is my partner. So kids off and never were on the agenda. But it does seem here in the UK at least, the standard protocol is HCG and test in most cases, regardless of desire re fertility
I’ve been with BMH and CJA balance, never had HCG, had AI once at my request then realised I was just overthinking it in the early days. Prices for the UK is all much of a muchness.
To be honest both are fine, but my I’m about the easiest patient you’ll ever meet, I played around with doses esters schedules etc for me none of it made a tangible difference (apart from the fact my body didn’t like sustanon, presumably the carrier oil), my experience probably isn’t helpful.
