There’s another big buzz about the air fryer right now. We’ve had one for a while but it only ended up getting used occasionally… I had actually never used it myself! I stuck a couple of burgers in there last night and they were fantastic - another bonus was not having to open the windows like I often need to with red meat.
I’m not interested in it as a “lower fat” machine, but its benefits on energy costs.
Anyone got some staple go-to meals with it?
Air fryers are just convection ovens - the main limitation is always going to be how big the basket is. You can do everything from steaks to veggies in them.
I like cooking my meat on the stove or in the oven, and then loading up the air fryer with veggies and a little olive oil. And I cook most of the stuff my kids eat in it, too.
But again - it’s just speed and convenience. Anything that you would put into an oven you can put into one of these.
Foreman style grill is nice too. I use the airfryer for loads of stuff mostly meat and chips.
