Ufc 43!

Team Quest in Gresham (Portland), Oregon

bitchin ko, trained with next generation for awhile , but no time no with school. Thinking of Carlos Gracie’s academy not to far from my house, dunno yet. I think Couture is a stud no question, especially at his age, but Liddell is just too much man.

ko, is your head trainer Rico C.? I’ve heard hes a bigger stud than john (as in big john stud).

Frye has been training with Frank Shamrock so look for him to lay some leather on Coleman and be able to escape from the ground.

Frye not tap? Have you seen the Yoshida fight?? a work if there ever was one, but he “tapped” heh heh

I’m pretty sure coleman will ground and pound frye into next week! Did you see what happened to frye when he fought Jeromme lebanner!?!?!? Coleman is so rested and injury free right now, i’m almost 100% positive that coleman is hungry after losing his title. I could be wrong though.

No, his name is Robert Follis. He does not compete any more (hurt his knee), but is a great teacher, as well as student of the fight game.

Dammit, I love and hate this matchup. I don’t want Liddell or Couture to lose. It could go either way, but I think maybe Liddell’s youth might be too much in the end.

The Frye-LeBanner fight was in K1, where Don is not even on the same planet as Jerome, so his getting KOd has little to do with Pride rules.
But Frye had some grande cajones to trade with him.
(the image of Takayama’s face after Frye finished with it comes to mind …ah, humour)

depends what condition Coleman show up in really. their hotel, the Shinjuku Hilton is an hour from my house, maybe ill stop by and try and get a peep!

gotta cheer for Couture AND Chuck. When was the last time such 2 fighters with that much heart and class were matched up?
Its a shame 1 has to lose- but Chuck is too good at escaping a GnP and at KOing wrestlers

KO, you were absolutely right. Damn did Couture take it to Chuck! I couldn’t believe how Randy controlled the pace of the entire fight and thoroughly out boxed Lidell.

That was a GREAT example of an older athlete training smart and using his experience to dominate.

Lidell’s conditioning didn’t look to good either-which obviously played a factor.

If anyone knows more about Coutures conditioning and strength training that would be a great topic for the forum.

Anyone else happy to see the Belfort of old back?

Haven’t seen him that explosive for a long time - since he ko’d Silva. Texbook example of the efficiency and effectiveness of straight blast punching.

Both he and Eastman are sculpted huh? 2 more who would be good to study for t-mag purposes.

Overall I was greatly entertained by this UFC. Lots of everything, even Lindland knocking himself out!
