The question isn’t whether the substance he took was natural or not, the issue is whether or not it was on the UFC’s list of banned substances; which it was/is. We can debate whether we agree with it being on that list, or whether there are any performance enhancing qualities associated with its use, but in the end that debate is irrelevant because it doesn’t change anything. Diaz knew he was taking a banned substance and therefore knew the potential consequences and chose to do do anyways. Therefore if he was to get let go from the UFC as a result, he would only have himself to blame.
And I’m actually fairly confident that federal employees do have to submit to random drug tests. I know plenty of private sector employees do.
