Sorry for the lack of substantive contribution, but I’m disappointed in him.
no way!
tiny shorts + little belly = Fedor, Vovchanchyn and Shogun.
They all rock =)
If I ever decide to return to the cage or ring, I’ll be sporting the tiny shorts, too. There is something freeing about them. Makes me feel like a manly man, able to kick and move without any restrictions.
Tiny shorts = awesomeness
Cung Le got too exhausted. It’s been a while since he has fought and his lack of good enough cardio showed. I think he did well, and should have capitalized on knocking down Wanderlei in the first round. It was a premature stoppage, Because Hendo and Shogun were in a similar situation in their fight and the ref just let it go. It did appear that Wanderlei broke Cung’s nose tho. Cung does San shou kickboxing and that’s the same art I practice so I guess I’m a tad bit bias.
I had Hendo winning against Shogun. No tie. No way. Hendo had the first three rounds won. Shogun came back and won the last two. So I totally agree with the outcome.
Faber did well and is another one of my favorite fighters. Rogan is right those team alpha boys do have the guillotine down as a signature move. Is their another gym/school of fighters who do it better?

You have my sword!
besides, normal shorts make it easier for your opponent to grab onto.

Cody Mckenzie has one hell of a guillotine streak, Joe Stevenson had a very dangerous one for a while, Guillotine was Overeem’s signature move on the ADCC.

And remember: it’s only gay if you make eye contact.

Or if you sink “The Third Hook”. Though if its about rage/dominance we might need to get a ruling on that.

Fedor’s fight marks a turning point.
For the first time, MMA’s greatest didn’t fight in destruction mode.
He stuck to a strategy.
I don’t really know what that means, but it’s interesting.
It surely doesn’t mean that Fedor’s team will try to do their best to make him No.1 again.
Cause that would imply to quickly and systematically rebuild his market worth until he’d join the UFC ranks to go for the title.
Because that is out of reach for sooo many reasons

Bull. It could totally happen.
So you admit its possible? I still should hope? I am a little fuzzy on what you are trying to say here.

Faber is awesome and a poster Bantamweight, but he’s Chael-Trollen Cruz.
No way he deserved a win.
But it seems to be the truc-du-jour to basically ENSURE a quick UFC rematch.
I recommend Jon Fitch to violenty Twitter about GSP’s steroid use causing apparent impotence and baldness.
Fitch has too much class, and is not beloved by Dana White. He can beat everyone but GSP and will not get a title shot. He is basically GSP light, right down to the asian script chest tatoo.

Robert,
What I meant is that it’s EXTREMELY unlikely for Fedor to take a walk amongst the ranks of the UFC.
the facts:
I M1 and UFC couldn’t make an arrangement while Fedor was the most exciting heavyweight and undisputed No1…
II …While being relatively unknown to the casual fan and not very marketable (read: marketing disaster).
III Fedor is now “just” a top heavy, but still the No1 commodity for M1. No way they will let him go without some form of control or some big money deal.
IV Which the UFC won’t accept
V And he’s an even bigger marketing disaster, without his crown. And Fedor still doesn’t give a damn about it. If he would go Sonnen, you could spin a Dragoesque story of some sort. Again, it’s far more likely for Sonnen to adopt the orthodox faith and wear a wooden cross around the neck.
VI With every fight, Fedor will be winning himself more and more into obscurity, since there are no big leagues left, apart from the UFC; that goes ESPECIALLY for heavyweights.
UFC logic (nonUFC fighter=bum) was already rampant back when M1 and UFC were negotiating.
VII the UFC have no need for him, they have Dan, the lightheavyweight who beat him and soon, they’ll have Werdum, who submitted him.
They have a lot of superstars as it is and their shysters probably smile while showing M1 shysters the finger.
VIII Fedor can and will be content with what he has accomplished- and why shouldn’t he?
He dominated for ten years, is (hopefully) financially settled with a new hot wife, benevolent Dictator Putin sits in the audience when he fights, his opponents now fly to Russia to fight him, he still can compete in his beloved Combat Sambo etc.
= no Fedor in UFC

Schwarzfahrer, check the calibration on your sarcasm meter. My comment re Fedor should have tested a strong positive. In other words, I was fucking kidding around and in agreement with you.
My comment re Fitch was in earnest.
I accept full responsibility because you likely speak several languages while I can’t even use emoticons.

okay.
Apparently, I should drop one language in favour of ‘sarcasmic’, is seems.
Regarding Fedor, being a big fan, it’d be quite the joy to be proven wrong by history- or just rethorically by another poster here.
I guess leaning back on new years eve, watching the GOAT’s pelmeni-filled belly wobbling like a wargod’s doublebass to the vicious rythm of his hooks, as they connect to the unlucky jaw of some asian, isn’t the saddest part of being a Fedor fan?
The saddest part of being a Fedor fan for me is simply having to hear White/Rogan/the UFC machine try to minimize his accomplishments. I get why they do it. It is still dishonest, and I will say it is “now” unnecessary since the UFC has access to Henderson, Giant Silva, and Werdum. Still, the M-1 vs UFC shit is going to continue.
