Type 2b Full Body Volume

Hi Christian

If im a type 2b and prefer fullbody workouts (usually done as a superset or circuit)is this still ok to be doing ?

Im also in a deficit if this helps and i dont always train to absolute failure.

Thankyou Aaron

Any type of training that you prefer is okay as it is the style you will be the most motivated to do.

People tend to misunderstand the training recommendations in the neurotyping system. I make general recommendations based on what most with a certain personality profile should naturally prefer. It’s basically a starting point for coaches so that they can save time when working a client.

But the underlying message is that you should train the way that makes you feel the best and most motivated, then adjust based on recovery.

I think this is the confusion/ pushback with the system in general.

People use it as an individual to say “I’m a X type, so Y won’t work for me.” Typically they appear to be trying to justify their lack of effort, and we all roll our eyes.

I’ve found huge value in the system, though. It’s an opportunity to reflect on why I prefer certain things or think the way I do, which helps me manage my shortcomings or provides a guide to further explore a path for myself. More importantly, it helps me better interact with others because I’m more readily able to understand their motivations rather than just assume (as is my norm) they’re lazy and whiny.

Like you point out in your writings, the system is a framework; we (the audience) are often misinterpreting it as a solution.

OP, that was a general observation; not an attack on you.

That was my original intention when I designed my system. But people love “recipes” so I did include specific recommendations, which likely did more harm than good. That’s why I want to reshoot the whole course ASAP
