Uh I’m not trying to pimp but I have to mention cycle support from Anabolic Innovations (chocolate peanut butter is the shit) and it covers an adequate amount of just about every wortwhile ancillary otc supplement you could want for helping keep tabs on your lipid panels and your liver enzymes.
Although I still think you should take in extra fish oil or a high quality blend like flame-out.
product sounds good. Where do you get it? Also with fish oils…we do not take enough of them.UP THE INTAKE…
I found the now liver product to contain every item that are listed in a holistic nutrition liver text book…
Take 3 times the doses and you atcually feel different after a few days…
along the same lines, the genuine health (makers of greens+) liver product (LivTone i believe) in combination with the greens+ daily detox is killer too. either way, this or the now products, you can’t go wrong.
I don’t think me sourcing that product would be very respectful to Biotest, and I know in the past that would be a straight No-No. I’m sure if you google anabolic innovations you’ll find sites that sell cycle support. BTW the cookie mix tastes pretty damn good to, however I will warn there are alot of chocolate chips.
I have yet to see a clinical where any liver protection or support supplement really makes the grade. I would definitely want to see clinicals or trusted first hand knowledge from a reputable knowledgable source before sinking my money into a liver protection supplement. Coq and RYR and fish oils however are proven, and should be in any supplement regime. I would run these even not on cycle, or as a natural lifter.

I wonder if Lipitor ( Atoravastatin) would be a good idea.

The red rice yeast is just as effective as the lipitor, but not withe the sides. It’s funny the Red rice yeast got banned up here(canada) just when lipitor got release. I have seen it work (along with cleaning up the diet) in my clients with HDL problems and their docs are baffled…I seen some huge point drp just after a couple weeks on RED RICE YEAST.

Hey p-22 do you actually now alot about red yeast rice and aren’t saying what you really mean to ?
I’m not going to pretend to know as much as P-22 on the subject. However,

Milk thistle has never been proven to work. If anything milk thistle blocks absorption into the liver, making less of the agent enter the body. In the case of AAS, this is NOT good. You are wasting quality AAS running milk thistle.

I also fail to see how some herbs and vegetables will protect the liver from a toxin, or de-toxify it.

Anecdotal evidence once upon a time said that fat makes you fat. It also said that cigarette smoke was healthy and that the world was square. I will not use anything based on anecdotal evidence. This honestly seems to me like some companies attempt to make money by filling a void in the market with a product. Considering the void, it doesn’t really matter if the product works or not, people will buy it.
No offense but your opinions on the topic sound pretty close minded. Herbs and vegetables couldn’t help your liver out at all? OK. Check Bill Roberts post on silymarin and aas use on this forum.
I don’t see at all how my opinions are closed minded. I searched the available data, and confirmed my original statements.
Here is Cy Williams column from 2003 talking about silymarin usage. I searched for the Bill Roberts article with no luck. Perhaps you could post it for me if it says something different.
(While silymarin has been shown to have protective effects with acetominophen, amanita (mushroom), ethanol, and a few other substances, I can’t find any literature demonstrating hepatoprotective effects with concurrent use of 17-AA anabolic steroids.
However, I will say that it would be safe to assume that it certainly does provide some “protection.”)
Safe to say is an assumption, and there is no effective proof that it does work. I did not find anything at all on how the below list will protect or detoxify the liver as well.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus) (Leaf)
Beet (Beta vulgaris) (Leaf)
Black Radish (Raphanus sativus)
