Tuna and Peanut Butter Together...

Are you talking about Princes tuna chunks in brine? I really don’t know how to make that taste good. I’d like to try because it’s a cheap source of protein but the taste is shocking. Compared to salmon it’s dirt cheap. I may give up on canned tuna altogether unless I find some good ideas. I do remember eating tuna burgers, made by mixing egg and tuna and heating in a George Forman meat fat reducing grilling machine, but I can’t say that tasted good either. But damn, the food prices in England are absurd.

get tuna, get all your condiments from fast food places

Now we are talking! Althought I spent $9.17 for 4 packets of tuna (3 servings per pouch but I make them one serving), fat free crackers and a bottle of dijonnaise.

I eat a pouch of light tuna in ‘spring water’ on crackers everyday at work for lunch. It is pretty cost effective and I get 168 calories (+ 20 calories from condiment) and 43 g of protein. Crackers add about 120 calorie, 0 fat and 26 g of carbs.

The rest of the day at work I have low carb Drive. 3 - 4 while at work. Then for dinner after I work out I have S. Recovery and chicken, turkey, fish, or beef with vegtables (usually).

I adhere to 90% rule…

It’s worth trying a few different brands of canned tuna. Some are terrible while others are pretty tolerable. Go for albacore, and adding some lemon juice and go a long way to killing some of the nastiness in the taste. Sometimes, you just have to choke it down though.
