Tuna, All You Can Eat

As a cost alternative… Well, a can of tuna costs $1.99 for six ounces. Let’s round that up to $2. Twice a day for three weeks runs you to $84. I don’t consume a tub of Grow! in three weeks, and that’s only $25. Do you see something? You’re not able to afford Grow! for $25, but you can afford tuna @ $84? WOW you need to brush up on your mathematical critical thinking skills! You do know 25<84, right?[/quote]

Wow. A can of tuna costs $2 in Canada? You guys are getting jipped–it’s about 30 cents here. USA! USA!

30cents? what the hell are you talking about. its a dollar a can (solid white)

Well guys hows this for critical thinking :stuck_out_tongue: . . . a multibuy for tuna in my local store [UK] is 6 cans for ?1.60. Now i dont know what you guys think that works out as, but to me it sounds like 27p per can, or 18.5p per serving. So yer Djn we can get it cheap, you just need to know where to look

And guys i think that since i live in the UK i would have to pay nearly ?37 [equates to $70] for Metabolic Drive! over here, or over $90 to get it shipped from T-Nation [sourced from a tread on Biotest] so when its at least ?35 for 20 servings and i would be having 6 of those a day that is v expensive. Think before you post guys :\ Cj

UPDATE: Hey guys, just a quick update to let you know i will be starting the diet at the end of this week since i have had this fek-arse flu thats going round! So ive been stocking up on tuna and generally been prepareing for the big day - the saturday coming. Lets see how it goes

Right guys, this is the second day of my diet, and im having a terrible time keeping to it! Im so used to going to the fridge and picking out a ripe banana or munching of a bag of crisps, all of which are readily available at my house. And since i have two youger siblings, there isn’t much i can do about that, unfortunately. So when i first set underway, yesterday, i began with complete enthusiasm. That short-lived enthusiasm, completely faded when i absent-mindedly picked up a “snack size” Twix. Damn! Thats 20 carbs to take away from my 20-a-day limit - doesnt leave me with much does it? Then later on in the day i had half a cherry bakewell  I know I’m weak, but today i did alot better. I managed to eat nothing but meat (had a fry-up but theres no carbs and alot of protein in that huh!) except for one finger of a Twirl bar. Thats another days carbs down the drain - though i eagerly walked them off. I’m finding it so fkin hard at the moment to just stick with tuna. Its not that i don’t enjoy it, i love fish and i do even have the odd boiled egg or scrap of chicken, just to mix things up a little. Im just trying to break my habits at the moment, and, i think, unfortunately, that may take a few more days before i can stick completely to tuna (and other low-carb foods). Does anyone have any tips for this?

So im going to strive my hardest tomorrow to not eat any more carbs. Im close to getting it to perfection and if im lucky i might be able to pick up some low carb stuff in Costco, maybe even some protein shakes at wholesale value =) Can anyone tell me about low-carb foods from Costco (UK)? Cheers and i cant wait till i can do this for 3 days solid without cheating! Cj
