I am new to the forums, but love reading about everyone’s ideals and perceptions of training and nutrition. I have been competing off and on for 5 years. I am competing in 4-5 shows this year and hope to go PRO.
I would like some thoughts on my physique for figure. I compete at about 135lbs…I am 5’5 1/2. Last year I lifted heavy through Nationals and they said I was too hard. I have cut heavy training and just stayed persistant on cardio so far. Any ideas would be great, I have an open mind. I do not want to go into bodybuilding…requires a lot of supplementation.
I can see how the judges may have said you came in too hard esp. if they ever follow through on looking for that softer look like they have been saying.
I love your wheels but your quads may be too large for figure, not sure though. I’m sure the experts on figureathlete.com could help you out!
You have some incredible leg development! I suspect you are genetically blessed in that area. Good job bringing your upper body up to par with your lower. You have a nice balanced look. If I had to be picky I’d say work on calves and arms.
I’m no judge but I see no problem for you making the pro ranks. Definitely go for it.
Don’t forget to check out our wonderful sister site if you haven’t already:
Imagine that; a physique that actually belongs on Rate My Physique.
I agree with Westclock about the “too hard” comment. That’s complete nonsense. You have a great “X” shape to your build and fantastic definition throughout, particularly in your back and legs.
A friend of mine also got the “too hard” comment at Nationals. She gets lean up top before she leans out in her hips and thighs, so she really has to drop her bf to get the lower body looking right. This results in a harder look up top. She’s still working on getting it right, but rest assured, you aren’t alone! You’re looking great!
Damn you have one sexy pair of legs haha. I think like someone else said though, they might be too big (don’t you hate when people say that?). It makes you look slightly out of proportion.
Other than that can’t find any flaws, your back is very good.
Good luck, I hope to go pro in BB one day, glad to see others pursuing a similar route on this site.
The pics here look great. I understand you’re going for figure now, but I gotta ssaay, I love the ones you have postedup in your profile… of course, I dig a little muscle on my women -lol.
Having different areas lean out at different rates can be frustrating to say the least. Add to that the fact that so many folks are still confused as to where the ‘line’ is regarding being too hard, or too soft,… well, I certainly wish you luck. With so many contests, at least you’ll be able to make adjustments as you go.
Looks like hard work and I respect that so I gave you a nice high score. Not a 10 cause nobody is perfect:D. Good job keep it up. If I saw you walk past me in public, I’d do a double take for damn sure!

X2… Each bodypart looks great. The legs look great too. Just a lil out of prop imo. Bring everything else up or cut leg volume and do an S load of cardio (prob the latter).
