TRX Program?

And I talked about it here:

However, with the case of the guy in this thread, I didn’t see it as an issue of a foundation necessarily needing to be built. I see it as a guy who basically doesn’t know how he wants to train or what he wants to train for.

He putzed around with light weights during his fat loss (and he did say he built some basic strength gains with free weights). And he bought a TRX, not like it’s hanging around his gym and he wants to try it out here and there. So if he’s going to use only the TRX, that’s fine as long as he does it smart.

I just don’t think he “needs” to use the TRX to get into shape before progressing to free weights. Based on what he said he’s done in the past, he’d be fine jumping into a well-designed weight training plan.

For him as an individual, I would personally disagree, but I can understand why you hold your opinion. I originally just thought it was odd that you found the idea itself of getting in shape to get inshape silly, but with this, I imagine you meant it simply as a way to jab him than to comment on the idea specifically.

Well what I meant to say might have been misunderstood becaude of the way I said it. I meant to say I wanted to build bodyweight strength and foundation before I start again using the big lifts Bench press,Barbell Squat, Deadlifts. As for my Goal I want to lean out and I know along with leaning out and using the program above, I will see improvements on my strength, and stability.

I also eat only once/twice a day and 90% of my training outside the mats are bodyweight based. You’ll be fine.

Don’t sit there and wait for a magical program. Rows, conventional pull ups, and squats/lunges. Learn how to do those properly and keep doing it. Or just come back and keep trying to justify yourself to the internet.
