Trump: The Third Year

More importantly, to him, it moves his base.

Indeed it does.

MAGA.

4 more years.

At least one of the following conditions must be present in order for that to be true, as far as I can tell:

  1. The “leader of the Free World” is so respected that his desires alone can move markets.
  2. The “leader of the Free World” is backed by enough force to be feared, and there is a legitimate fear that he can and will use that force to accomplish his goals.

Both are scary. The second is more likely to be more true, and makes the “Free World” seem far less free. Neither is new. Neither should be true.

How are you defining force in this scenario?

I appreciate you listing option 1. In a normal scenario, that would probably be an option.

2 a : military strength

b (1) **:** a body (as of troops or ships) assigned to a military
 purpose
     -a force of 20,000 soldiers

(2)forces plural **:** the whole military strength (as of a nation)

c **:** a body of persons or things available for a particular end
            a labor force
            the missile force

d **:** an individual or group having the power of effective action
            join forces to prevent violence
            a force in politics

-Merriam-Webster

The reason I asked was I wasn’t sure if you meant, or included, force as US economic power, for example. The ability to impose ourselves by means other than military.

Warren, Sanders and Biden are now neck-and-neck in most polls.

Why bother with going through the motions? Why don’t we just give Trump 4 more years and call it a day?

It’s still early but what I would like to see happen is everyone else, drop out. We could then see how their numbers change as a result and get a better idea of who is really in front.

I think any of those three could beat Trump. They just need to not think in terms of running against Trump and instead run against the GOP and reach out to the voters who Hillary dismissed. Unlike Hillary, any one of those three knows how to talk to real Americans.

Because normal people saw the Dems dumpsterfuck the GOP in the midterms last year, and understand both momentum and voter alliances

Agree.

The vast majority of voters dispersed over 20-plus candidates will most likely separate the top 3-4 candidates more.

One thing I am not getting though, @zecarlo…and that’s the appeal of Elizabeth Warren. I’ve tried…but I’m still at a loss…

Yes.

I’m probably as far from being a Trumpublican as a person can be…

But I just don’t seem to have enthusiasm for what the DEMS are offering either…

“Anybody but Trump” just doesn’t do it for me.

Warren is filling 15000 seat stadiums. I wouldn’t count her out.

Just because someone puts cringe in the title to an edited video, doesn’t make it so. She was drinking a beer while talking to people on social media. What’s really cringe-worthy is seeing Trump eat. Or is that just disgusting?

Please read this quick article because l know you seek truth.
Or just scroll down to the chart

Which is why they should run against the GOP and its policies. Just ask people how are those tax cuts working out for them.

Indeed she is…

And I don’t get it.

Nah. There’s at least 6 steps between you and the furthest rung. The furthest rung wouldn’t make so many claims about Trump being destined to win/being unbeatable.

Does for millions and millions. Anybody but the other guy is the most effective campaign strategy these days. It landed Trump in the White House.

Oh I’m aware. But if you look at actual history, that’s almost always the GOP stealing seats away from the Dems. The most recent midterms was the best Dem showing of my lifetime, and 2nd best of yours (and that took a much bigger crook).

I posted an image detailing your link in the blue wave thread. People can say the blue wave doesn’t matter if they want (not sure why), but they won’t be able to say it wasn’t a record breaking turnout.

(You just don’t give up, do you, @pfury?)

I’ve always fully admitted not being good at this Presidential predicting game…and probably am still real bad it!

As I’ve said in the past…I am too influenced by what appears to be greater enthusiasm for one candidate over another. (I’ve learned that can be a difficult thing to translate into votes).

Oh well…!
