That’s actually really big news. He may actually be fate touched, I swear.

To put this in perspective, in the “basket of goods” for Chinese inflation and other metrics, pork and pork products is the largest item.

This.

The Dow plummeted 600 points as this clumsy trade war goes into its second act. Them Wall Street types must have the TDS.

Also, Trump beclowned himself over the weekend by trying to claim that China was actually paying the tariffs and Treasury was rolling in the dough because of this trade war. To be fair, I don’t think he was lying to mislead people - he literally is an economic illiterate and thought that was true.

And those who said “WTF???” were probably suffering from TDS…

Not everyone, Americans.

Is he lucky or are we unlucky?

At least we know the end to the war. When Trump can afford to make all his products in America it’s game over China.

The TDS is really ramping up at FoxNews lemme tellya

Robbing Peter (industries hit by tariff that have to pay the tariff) to pay Paul (give money from the tariffs collected to one of the groups that that is hit by the tariff but is politically important).

Why, I’m old enough to remember when such a thing was condemned by conservatives and Republicans. And by old enough, I mean that I’m old enough to be a toddler.

It’ll be interesting to see what he uncovers. He seems like he’s essentially Mueller lite.

Now what’s the over under that Trump starts tweeting out investigation facts before it’s over

Here’s an interesting one-

That is gonna be a doozy. A friend of mine is one of the head engineers on it.

I like that saying so much.

Interesting that their metallurgy favors revamping coal furnace rather than the arc mill. But article indicated high end product. Steel doesn’t have to be fancy to bend into light poles or drawn for sucker rod.q
I had understood for years, that was how Nucor had subplanted them.

Maybe. I had heard that the automotive industry was using a new stronger formula of steel. I think the main goal is massive volume and efficiency. Their output will be increased by some crazy order of magnitude while the workforce stays about the same.

I couldn’t get much technical detail, as my bud was on top of the world going about a million miles an hour, other than “nothing like it in the world” and “massive! Just fucking massive!”. He’s worked on a couple others around the globe, so he knows.

Doesn’t he need an enterprising young right hand, that is looking to stack up some cash for his own specialty welding business down the road?
