Considering this all stemmed from firing McCabe. The democrats called upon the Obama appointed IG to investigate why Comey released the letter days before the election. The IG recommended that McCabe be fired. That makes Trump politically murderous. Okay.

And it appears from the article (the paragraph right above it) that the Putin poll testing was done as part of the 2014 midterm polling. (Although the wording doesn’t make that exactly clear, it may have been after.)
So, the Putin polling is bad enough on its face no matter when done, but Bannon and Co. were asking as far back as 2014? Well in advance of the presidential election?
But there’s no connection to Russia, remember.

No, but in the alt right sphere Putin is an ever shifting mirage that supposedly supports “Judeo-Christian culture” and “white people”.
Of course this extremely nebulous belief has nothing to do with Putin personally or official Russian policy, but for disaffected alt-righters in the US, Austrian Nazis or South African poor whites, he’s the ever-benevolent protector who “would put things right” if given the chance.

Kogan used the exact same service to collect data on 270K people, and by extension their 30-50 Million “friends”. Kogan operated under Facebook’s terms and conditions until he shared the data with Cambridge Analytica. There was no theft of data or breach, merely improper transfer. The 270k people that logged in (and all of their friends) had agreed to Facebook’s terms of service… which includes allowing developers to data mine you.
If you agree to be data mined by using facebook/Google/twitter/instagram/snapchat/tnation?/etc… I’m having a hard time coming up with crocodile tears for you. Do people think these services are really free? There’s a reason I do a search for “best way to do chest flies” and get supplement/workout ads in every sidebar for days, even on unrelated sites like Barrons.
So if all the people who had their data “stolen” agreed to the Facebook terms of service, they have no recourse, nor should they. Welcome to the 21st century. Governments are tracking you, businesses are tracking you. Boo-hoo. Dont like it? Don’t use their products.
Now if the argument goes to them using this data to build targeted ads and that’s somehow nefarious… let’s face it. People who change their vote based on BS facebook ads… they’re dumb.
The 50M people MAY have a possible class action suit against Cambridge Analytica for obtaining the data improperly from Kogan… maybe. If CA doesnt just close first and reopen with a new shingle.
This won’t be what gets Trump. Because he can claim plausible deniability that “Bannon hired these guys” and he was unaware of it.
Your two best bets to get him:

Obstruction. That should be a slam dunk. But by the time you get the case together, charge and get a conviction and appeals out of the way. It’s 2021.

Defeat him in 2020. How hard can this be? You’ve got an energized base that slept through Hillary’s coronation. They won’t make that mistake again.
