I don’t. But it’s because 1. Trump is yet to show himself as a competent leader. 2. Faith in Americans to not support him should he attempt it.
You would need both (and then some) to pull that off. Imo anybody that thinks Trump could do it is just as silly as the people that thought Obama would.
The bwop bwop was related to the whataboutobamaism that didn’t actually add to your point. It served zero purpose as to your post except to whataboutism
Edit: in case you thought my comment was disputing the truth in your claim
I dunno. The argument was about whether Trump was willing to murder his opponents in a shady way and whether or not he was ignoring the constitution. He probably is ignoring the constitution somewhere, but we don’t have evidence he’s ordered citizens killed without due process.
He might have, I just can’t recall any articles.
He did tell security to beat up a protester once. So there’s that.
We have a very recent example of a chief executive ordering citizens killed without due process. That is a relevant contrast to the current chief executive who hasn’t ordered such (to my knowledge).
Google search brought up Yemeni collateral casualties, but no direct kill orders of US citizens.
If you’re going to wax philosophic on the murderous intent of a world leader, is it not relevant to talk about world leaders who have ordered individuals killed?
What was the impact of the Obama comment? Does Obama’s action change Trump’s? Does it change the way we should judge Trump? Does it change literally anything?
If it does, it’s relevant (imo). If it doesn’t, it’s not relevant.
I will prolly get flamed for this but oh well… I think his long game is personal…He wants to break us like Ivan Drago…Hes ex-cold war KGB… For him, it’s like Rambo the wars, not over. He knows he cants beat the USA in traditional war but now knows…Americans are dumb AF & he can manipulate us all through his cyber warfare, propaganda,…Worst off he possibly ready to hit us with a 2K 1 bomb.Shut down infrastructures, delete bank accounts, shut down power plants etc. Then smoke us with his super nukes… He telecasting he gives zero fucks about the world and he’s new big dick in town… Kills ex-spies and kids in public with nerve gas instead of making it look like an accident… Has our prez by balls with dirty money and pee tapes… Be afraid be very afraid… The Gulags and breadlines could be coming…
Mr. Putin if reading this I love Vodka Eastern block poon and Russian baths…Please don’t delete my bank account
It changes the frame of reference of @Mufasa 's comment. I’m sorry that it broke up the “bash Trump” party. When you assert he’d love to have his opponents murdered, without evidence.
The frame of reference that the very last guy to hold the job did indeed have his enemies killed, it is 100% relevant.
Would President Trump torture someone if he could get away with it? Would the precedent of another President, pissibly doing it the past make it more likely for the current President to get away with it now?
I would have a big ego too if I had the balls to run into a school shooter unarmed. Guys got the bigliest balls of any president. Probably the best ever
The Right knows exactly what they are doing when then bring up al-Awalki as some “evidence” that President Obama was “willing” to kill U.S. Citizens.
The implication here is that al-Awlaki was a personal enemy of President Obama that he had targeted simply because he didn’t agree with him or called him bad names on Twitter.
The Right wrapping al-Awlaki in the American Flag and coating him with Apple Pie is disingenuous at best.
If you think that’s what I’m doing, go right ahead. Alawaki was an asshole and recruited terrorists. I’m 100% glad he’s worm food, I would have pulled the trigger myself given the chance.
But we’re discussing the constitution and following it (or not). Lincoln did a great deal of good for this country, but he also suspended the writ of Habeas Corpus, jailed journalists, ignored SCOTUS rulings etc… Not the best poster boy for constitutional government.
We can judge that the O adminiatration was right to get Alawaki while simultaneously aknowledging it is one hell of a precedent to set, killing citizens without trial. I’m sure the CIA has done that and worse dozens of times without our knowledge, that doesn’t make it something to take lightly.
You made the assertion that Trump would like to murder his political rivals. What evidence did you base that on?
