If we have to use Force of Arms to motivate China, lunch money for the troops and gas will cost $250 billion, plus $400 billion to Halliburton for troop support. $650 billion spent before we fire a single bullet. Then all the lives wasted. Huge cost.
On the other hand, the whole US economy can pay a little extra for everything, and influence China through steel tariffs. Which may cost a bunch. Maybe $350 billion. Who knows?
But it’s probably cheaper than blowing up some shit.
I don’t think you do under current conditions. That ship has sailed for a bunch of reasons. Probably a books worth. For example, US consumerism of shit is incredibly high. A large percentage of the country already thinks the middle & working economic classes are taken advantage of by the wealthy. Now the cost of literally everything that has steel in it is going to go up. That translates to less financial stability and mobility. Less raises. Probably less jobs and your dollar stretched less than it used to. Throw the next inevitable recession in the mix (probably in the next 5 years), etc… And you have a recipe for the ol political flippity-flop to either take seats or save their own seat.
China knows this. They just have to outlast a consumer-driven economy filled by the instant gratification consumer and politicians that care more about their jobs than their constituents.
I see this driving costs up in the short-term and changing nothing long-term.
Just a little extra for everything. I can see this going over real well with the average American.
PBR is now for hipsters and steampunks… I cant relate to them Im a Scotch on the rocks elitist. I only drink beer at baseball games… In which case its a Heineken Light
I would say tho… The idea of a trade war is no bueno. Until recent stock market was up… Now its tanking… Temporary who knows but… Markets like stability and Trump just shit on the one thing he had that was going good. Its a dumb move…Not 4D chess…But Im hopeful he crashes the economy so Im not complaining. Id sure love to see a realestate crash
No matter what Trump will have a doctor say it’s 3 feet long. Your eyes are wrong. Biggest inauguration ever, only 239 pounds, insanely healthy, six pack abs, benches 445. You can lie on the internet but Trump has no problem just saying things that people can openly tell can’t be correct. And insisting over and over again that you’re wrong if you think otherwise.
Got to go lift. 5’9 190 lb guy about to hit an 800 lb deadlift. Believe me no one deadlifts like me. Huge numbers on it. Don’t let the plates confuse you. Those are 400 pound plates on each side
He wanted to leave a few months ago and clearly disagreed with Trump. It does appear that Trump asked him to step aside. Even if he was “fired”, I don’t see how the growing exodus is a good thing.
"So why now?
Sources close to the President say it was clear Tillerson didn’t support Trump. They say Tillerson wanted to handle foreign policy his own way, without the President. Trump didn’t feel that Tillerson backed him, source says."
