Come on now, don’t act like you don’t have a red stain on your upper lip.
Sort of like the “Trump is in bed with the Russians” nonsense.
Yes it is as it does not fit the lefts narrative that Trump is awful and can do nothing correctly. And…they are going to try to remove him from office any way possible. LOL…and now that the Russian narrative is losing steam they need to look elsewhere. A thriving economy is the last thing the left wants.
HA!
Well, I’d say the date on which contracts are signed is a pretty good determinant when it comes to identifying factors that could (or couldn’t) have influenced the signing. So when a contract is signed in August, it’s hard to attribute it to an event that occurs 3 months later (especially when all signs at the time [in August] indicate that said event was not likely to occur).
Just because it doesn’t make the headlines of your favorite Kool-Aide dispensary doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
In fact, it looks identical to the crash of the steel industry, but for the drug of choice. Those old mill hunks just bellied up to the bars and drank themselves yellow instead.
And some of the rebound is in part due to the Miner Protection Act, which helps shore up some pension and health care issues for coal’s labor force (and eases some of the burden on employers). Credit there goes to Congress, and particularly Senator Manchin (D-WV).
But hey, can’t let actual information get in the way of MAGA - Trump cultists gotta cult.
And the following has nothing whatsoever to do with Obama leaving office. Ha ha you Trump haters are actually comical.
“The NFIB’s index increased by 7.4 points in December to 105.8, up from November’s 98.4. It’s the largest month-over-month index change since it began in 1986.”
How soon you forget the blood bath that was the day after the election for all of those “news sources”.
Did you forget the well articulated and acrobatic flips onto their own swords that news outlets were doing that week already?
Do tell me what really irks you… The death of Bin Laden under a Muslim POTUS, right?
Bin Laden was located in Abottabad in September 2010 and killed in May 2011… But somehow GWB gets the credit?
Of this, I have no doubts - Obama was terrible for small businesses and entrepreneurship. But long term, I think small businesses will be disappointed. Trump and a GOP Congress might deliver lower taxes (in the short term) and lighter regulations, but he/they won’t do anything about market concentrations, which continue to stymie small businesses and business creation generally.
Sorry, but I’m having a hard time following that. Looks like a system snafu of some sort.
Oh, EyeDentist, loppar and TB!
Ye of so little faith in “The Power of the Donald!”
Of course it’s fair. Which is why the Fox News crowd that complains about Obama and the national debt always points out that Afghanistan, Iraq, the bailouts and the need for economic stimulus based on the economy that was handed to him all occurred under the previous President right?
Oh wait they never add that caveat.
I’m not saying that is how they do it. I’m saying that is how I do it.
Which is fine I’m just not sure if a big action took place the day first week a President took office but was in the works for over a year that we should say “man look how many jobs this President is creating already.”
Either way the economic climate Obama handed to Trump was about a million times better than the one Bush gave Obama.
I will definitely agree that jobs added is always a good thing. I’m just not sure 70 jobs is enough to say
“coal is back and booming.” Coal is a dying industry long term, though it may be delayed a bit. Time will tell. I don’t expect a massive comeback long term by any means although how we would define comeback is debatable.
Works for Raj though. Maybe if President Trump put up a few feet of chain link fence on the border we could say promise complete on the wall.
I’m not following you here.
The country appears not to be divided into Democrats and Republicans, but rather Those Who Believe What They See On Reality TV and Those Who Don’t Watch Reality TV.
The gullibility test has been the Trump Russia stuff.
People actually thought Trump coordinated with the Russians to rig the election ![]()

While a whole segment of the population was getting swept up in the I’m With Her-> moment, a whole other segment was not.
They were planning on the time when Obama was out of office and Hillary was just a sour memory.
I know it would seem like it came out of right field if you weren’t looking out into right field, but it totally happened.
Do you honestly think that Warren Buffet pulled the election night trigger on billions of dollars without some forethought?
Its like there were two different worlds occurring simultaneously, even intermingled, and one side wasn’t watching the other at all.
They may have been hoping for HRC to be a memory, but no rational business was planning on it in August. Every piece of objective data indicated she would win. And while you can perhaps find isolated individuals who made substantial decisions in August based on the assumption that she would lose, I am extremely skeptical that a complex organizational entity such as a coal company would do the same.
