No.

Wait ED I’m curious, was it the Russians or White Americans that made Trump win.

Oh come on Mufasa…you know that isn’t the case. For example, I have given you lists upon lists of reasons why Obama was a horrible President and your response early on was “I can’t wait for Trump to start making America Great Again.” Which was not a relevant comment. And when pushed on other occasions you have run away.

So…in all fairness (which is hard to find around here these days) you are quite wrong.

Run along now there is plenty of Trump bashing to do.

Mufas, meet some facts. Facts, this is Mufasa.

Sorry to hear that you’d rather be right than to see people enjoy some success in life, but you know what they say in the media- Don’t let facts get in the way of a good story.

Ok, so what we do is we draw a line at a date that represents the end of one presidency and the beginning of another. If it happened before that line it goes to that guy, if it happens after it goes to the other guy.

Like Obama becoming a Navy Seal and taking out Bin Laden. That goes on his side. Never mind that he didn’t do that or that it started under Bush’s watch.

Fair?

And while we are on the topic, while Trump is far, far from being perfect he is so much better than Obama for small business that there is no comparison.

The NFIB’s index increased by 7.4 points in December to 105.8, up from November’s 98.4. It’s the largest month-over-month index change since it began in 1986.

If this wasn’t so serious…it would be laughable…

There are PLENTY of people who believe in the “Power of the Donald” to move industries and to cause Corporations to completely alter years or planning merely by his presence…many of whom are on this very thread.

So if anyone needs to “move on”, its many of you.

No need to try and convince me.

I’m obviously a lost cause.

“HAIL to The Donald!”

Ha ha…it’s not a matter of anyone “believing in the Donald”.

The Small business optimism soared because Obama left office. Any President that says to the small business person “you didn’t build that…” is not worthy of optimism. The fact that Trump is a business person didn’t hurt of course. But really just having Obama off the playing field caused the small business crowd to stand and cheer.

Surely you can understand that.

Come on now, you were the guy saying that you really sincerely hope that America does well under the Donald, etc.

Now there’s somme people doing well.

You don’t seem to like that.

Serious question. Have you ever in your life watched his speech where he said that, or read a transcript of the whole thing.

Maybe it was a combination–you know, White Russians. Those things are well-known to lead to terrible decisions.

I am puzzled why you seem to have chosen this hill to die on, because it is so open-and-shut to me. The contracts were signed in August, so how could it possibly be credited to Trump? (Note that I’m not saying ‘credit Obama’; my guess is this deal was too small to show up on POTUS-level political radar).

First, no one has ever suggested ‘Obama became a SEAL’ by dint of that raid. Second, while the early intelligence-gathering did occur during the Bush admin, in no sense was the actionable intelligence developed until the Obama years, and the operation was not conceived of (much less approved) until Obama was in office.

Yes.

Just checking. Have a nice day.

Facts are getting in a way of a good story? You’re extrapolating the fabled 70 odd jobs in a single coal mine as proof of Trump’s positive effect on the coal industry.

Not to mention that the coal mine in question was planned well before the election.

When someone mentions it’s laughable to discuss the POTUS’ effect on the opening of a single coal mine you teary eyed claim everyone’s against those poor workers who’ve escaped the downward spiral of drugs and unemployment.

That’s a good story without facts.

The POTUS should be concerned with creating a macroeconomic framework for creating hundreds of thousands, even millions of jobs, and you’re simply not going to get that even with a strong growth in the coal industry - cheap natural gas gets in the way.

Depends on the POTUS.

Kool-Aid for the faithful.

Im a small biz owner and pals with many… So far tho we dont see how repealing dod Frank helps that much… Tell me if Im wrong but what regulations is he peeling back that helps local biz? I can see how guys at Goldman Sachs and billionaires not paying tax inheritance tax win but please school me on what I have to look forward to. So far Im not seeing much… FYI Im in a highly regulated industry which is real-estate & home reconstruction so Im all for less red tape.

As was the hit on Osama Bin Laden…so what?

Yeah, I thought about that after making my comment. If more kids get a lump of coal in their stocking this Christmas, Trump is going to claim it as proof he created ‘good coal-mining jobs’ for Santa’s elves.

How else do do you determine what goes where? Trump ws handed a rats nest of social turmoil because of Obama. Obama was handed a bunk economy because of Bush. Bush was handed a cauldron of terrorism that boiled over because of Clinton, etc. etc…

So you draw the line, cut the shit about who handed who what, and say if it happened at this point… if it happened at that one…

Otherwise we can trade whataboutisms and “He would have been great IF…” for eternity.

Something good is actually happening. Is that so bad?
