Trump: The First Year

Yes, there are.

Not only that, but he disclosed that info to this guy:

If you have direct knowledge of where and when US subs are, the you wouldn’t be on the internet proving it with a news clip from The Hill.

Minus that, you might as well say “under water” or The Norfolk Naval Station and have just as good a chance of being right as anybody else that doesn’t know where they actually are either.

Would that stand up if he had an intelligence community behind him? Are we supposed to assume other countries can’t track down our nuclear subs if we narrow it down so closely for them?

They can try. Then what? Start a hot war because they found a sub in international waters? No country on earth does that if or when they find a ship or battle group on the surface, why would they do that with a sub?

But why give them the intel at all? Why give out ANY classified intel that has zero chance of helping our country and can only put our people in harm’s way?

To me, it’s more about how the rest of the world perceives us. If other countries start to view us as not being trustworthy with their intel, they’ll be less inclined to share it with us. The less intel we have, the more dangerous the world becomes to our people (and IMO it’s dangerous enough as is).

What’s going to inevitably happen, is if our reputation with intel is damaged enough, we’re going to see loss of life because of it. It will also be impossible to pin down to our damaged reputation, but those lives will be lost all the same. Trump being fast and loose with classified intel is such a huge disservice to our military men/women.

Edit: The disservice really applies to all of our citizens, as you don’t have to be a military member to be in harm’s way overseas.

To add:Trump declared war on the IC, and when he does things like this it’s only going to ensure the leaks continue.

Which just rolls into loss of life in such a way that we can’t calculate. This is what bothers me about people who dismiss Trump’s big mouth. If you’re a local/state politician there’s not a lot of real world ramifications for being an idiot. At the POTUS level being an idiot means you’re getting people killed.

International community = deep state

IC = Intelligence Community

Yeah and they are controlled by the deep state. They never wanted a Trump presidency so now they’re trying to destroy him

You buy into that and the Seth Rich conspiracy yet refuse to acknowledge the Trump-Russia story without irrefutable evidence.

I don’t consider it a conspiracy to believe seth rich was one of wikileaks sources after Assange admitted as much. Whether he was killed by the DNC or diversity is irrelevant to the Russia portion.

Until there is evidence of Trump doing anything illegal I will not believe it because it is quite extraordinary.

I don’t particularly care about Flynn he is not Trump.

lol at the deep state. This fucking place

@Tyler23

Tell me which one of these satisfies occams razor :

A sitting US president coordinated with an unfriendly foreign super power to meddle in the election or a disgruntled employee leaks sensitive documents to a whistleblower organization?

It’s cruel for you to end your post with “so far”

Giving them false hope like that is pretty mean

I would give them bad intel with the specific intention of watching what they do with it. It’s disinformation.

In fact, I’ve done this to people IRL. Then you watch them run around telling people a ridiculous lie and looking like an idiot for doing so.

Now we know for a fact that Duterte can’t be trusted, as he turned and went straight to Putin with what he knew.

Bear in mind, this was the specific impetus for this sspur of the conversation:

So do we have subs off of the coast of NK? Maybe. Maybe Not.

What we do know now though is that Duterte is Definitely a stooge for Putin.

At least thats how I read it.

CBO scoring out for ACHA. 23 million uninsured.

Here’s a question - let’s assume that for a moment that bin-Laden raid was about to occur on Trump’s watch. UBL is holed up in Abbottabad and the US intelligence agencies are watching his every move for weeks, even months, while the SEALs prepare for the raid.

Do you think that Trump would be able to keep his mouth shut, without bragging to some foreign diplomat or even posting on Twitter? “Obama couldn’t kill UBL, but I will have great news for you NEXT TUESDAY!”

Does he seem like a person who could sit for prolonged periods of time on some explosive intelligence?

Hasn’t that question already answered itself?

The raid in Yemen immediately comes to mind.
