“To be on the cover of Time as Person of the Year is a tremendous honor,” Trump told Matt Lauer in an interview after the reveal.
I’m quite certain the sub heading on that issue, “President of the Divided States of America”, went right over his head.
It was a tounge and cheek comment. At least it isn’t the Nobel Peace Prize. With Yasser Arafat and BHO winning. ![]()
The more conspiracy-minded side of me thinks there might be other, unrelated tapes about to be released and he’s laying the groundwork to dispute their authenticity.
Just can’t make this shit up can you.
Trump throws out a statement with zero plus side and zero possible benefit in any way and the potential to insult an entire demographic.
Shocker.
Of course none of this should be a surprise anymore, but he always manages to find a new way to make me go, “WTF? Really???”
I guess I just don’t see the purpose. When you’re the most powerful man on the planet, leading the most powerful country on the planet, you’d think you’d judge your actions on a risk/reward basis. Guy keeps doing shit like this, that not only doesn’t provide any sort of benefit, but never had the ability to provide a benefit.
It’s like a never ending south park episode. I just keep waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and go PUNKED AMERICA!
He is not the most powerful man on the planet.
I have absolutely no intention of getting into a discussion about how to define power and who has the power etcetcetc, but for the purposes of my own views, I’m very comfortable calling the POTUS the most powerful man on the planet.
The fact that he was compelled to write “me” in parenthesis speaks volumes about his colossal insecurity.
Makes you wonder how much Xanax and Oxy Huckabee takes on a Daily Basis…
I would be terrified if I actually believed THIS POTUS was the most powerful man on the planet. Terrified about what had happened to the definitions of powerful and man.
While Trump can’t keep his tiny Twitter thumbs off his tiny phone for anything, he does the stupidest shit imaginable from a political standpoint in order to create a large diversion, so he can sneak off and do what he sees fit.
Look back to his first 200 days in office–he signed 42 executive orders. How many of them can you or I name offhand? Probably not anywhere close to most of them. But, how many of us know about alleged Russian-Trump collusion, or about how Hillary got oh-so-screwed when her emails were hacked? I’d say a lot more of us.
This is because 93% of Trump’s MSM coverage has been negative up to this point. Trump uses this negativity as a distraction for you and I while he does whatever he wants. While NBC and CNN continue to pick away at the Trump-Putin bromance we’ve seen come to light, Trump has been doing god-knows-what behind our backs. Thankfully, however, though Trump may not be much of a motivational speaker and/or talker in general, he’s a damned good businessman–and I’ll dare say he’s doing a great job upholding the economy because of that. Even the most liberal of liberal media outlets have to admit that Trump is positively impacting our economy. Right now, even with a slew of major, damaging hurricanes, we’re thriving. I’m just gonna leave all this right here.
He is the leader of the free world, with a ginormous slew of nuclear weapons at his fingertips.
The ‘3-D chess’ explanation for his behavior.
