45/20, tantalizingly close to a clear majority for torching the First Amendment. Nothing says “small government” like telling judges to close down newspapers for having too much of a point of view.
Trump backers have been flirting with this line for a bit. When he talked about making it easier to sue newspapers the ears should have perked up.
Where are the Republicans complaining about free speech and snowflake this or that? Team Trump can’t take nasty words let’s shut it down. Typical he can bully anyone he wants but can’t stand it when the big bad media says something mean?

That may be true, but that doesn’t mean we should accept it. After all, many millions of non-morons also live here and we’ll all suffer just as much as the idiots if we allow this to continue!

If 1/3 of US adults register Dem and half wanted Bernie, should we say 16%+ of the population has already turned Socialist?

How exactly? Which party is going to give us a candidate really truly worth voting for? The system, it’s broken. That’s why a Trump could win. Where do we go from here. You can ‘resist’ Trump all you want, but who’s the statesman/woman with integrity waiting in the wings to serve from either party?

Probably neither. Personally I subscribe to the lesser of 2 evils approach in regards to politics.

A lot of this probably stems from the amount of shit the GOP had to put up with to force his appointees through. With Sessions being the 1 cabinet member out of like 3 that are actually qualified for the position, the GOP can’t afford to be bleeding qualified candidates and replacing them with yesmen.

It would be great if Republicans stood up to Trump. These early signs are promising, but who knows. It would be nice to realize the President could do something that would cause Republicans to stand up and say this goes against our principles.
Because the vast majority of what he ran on and how he has acted went against their principles and they didn’t say shit
The only reason Trump did this in the first place is to pander to his base. They (GOP in Congress too) were getting pretty pissed off at him for his recent treatment of Sessions. He just went on one of his twitter rants and this flew out of his head to try to stem the tide.
I’ve seen reports that medical costs for trans people in the military pale in comparison to just one trip to Mar a Lago, and the Pentago spends five times as much on Viagra per year.

Shit, that’s scary. Part of me sympathizes with the trouble with leakers, because this administration leaks like a sieve and any admin guy in any presidency worth his salt wants the leaks to die. But this guy…this guy is out there, ridiculous. That is not a normal reaction by any measurement.
