Because the other two women are Chancellor of Germany and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom?
Several months back I said that the Russian/Trump collusion story was nothing more than a political game. Some on this board vehemently disagreed.
But according to Van Jones the story was a āNothing Burgerā. Also others have since admitted that there really is no Russia/Trump collusion.
The āgameā of politics continuesā¦

Do you still believe Russia tried to influence our election as the IC here and abroad believe?
It was never about whether the Russians tried to influence the election. If you flip back to the many debates that I had regarding this topic it was always Russia/Trump collusion. I called nonsense and gamesmanship on the part of the left and the media. Now that this has been pretty much outed as the game that I called it your side shifts the topic to Russia influence minus Trump.
Is that to say that anyone worried about Russia believed in the collusion from the getgo and switched paces after enough evidence wasnāt found?
Furthermore, I was asking specifically if you share the ICās (here and abroad) view that a foreign hostile nuclear superpower (Russia) attempted (successfully or not) to influence the largest election we have to appoint the most powerful man on the planet. Weād have this conversation before, just checking in on whether or not you still believe Russia was fucking around with our election.
Yes I think there may have been. Now I will ask you if you ever believed that there was Trump/Russia collusion?
Are you saying that Trump colluded with the Russians? Because if you are, you are in an increasingly shrinking group of people. Most of them wishing and hoping more than presenting any proof that this is the case.
Edit: As I said from the beginning the Russia/Trump collusion was a game and nothing more.
The thing is, CNN is in damage control mode because they got fully and completely pantsed at an executive level.
Their best chance at this point is to just go along with the joke that they have become and climb their way back to respectability by being, well- Respectable.
Its not like they have to do a direct about face and eat words. They just have to move forward and let time heal their self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. In a year or so of actual solid and honest reporting they will be able to look back on this and laugh, but if they keep fighting and trying to disparage or question the validity of a bold faced bust theyāre just going to continue to hemorrhage what little validity they have left.
They will never do that. Like most on the left they still donāt understand why Trump won and why the majority of people think so very little of the media.
If Trump has done anything he has absolutely changed the way people view the mainstream media. And that is a good thing.
It was just a little bait to try and rile a few young guys (or @EyeDentist ). ![]()
And at the risk of of stirring up @anon71262119 's ire , I really think men are more suitable as leaders.
Its like turning spoiled brattiness into a terminal condition.
After 8 years of sycophantic worship of a demagogue in sheeps clothing they might have to put on their big boy pants and do the work of journalists.
Shots fired.
It remains an open question for me. Depending upon what is meant by the word collusion, I think it is very likely that, at a minimum, someone in Trumpās campaign did so.
Iām not sure what youāre referring to here.
To the contrary, in undermining peopleās faith in the MSM to serve his craven political needs, Trump has done significant damage to the democratic process in this country. History will judge him very harshly for this.
Give him some credit other than just the media. He has also embarrassed the highest office with his behavior numerous times.
Actually you were denying or heavily questioning Russia influence less than two weeks ago. Itās worth looking into for sure. Trump lost the popular vote by a considerable margin and all the polls were really wrong when we know that with recent history presidential polling and aggregating websites like 538 have been really good at predicting these things.
Does that mean the election wasnāt legit? No idea it probably was. I would certainly hope so. Trump hasnāt exactly made getting to the bottom of this priority one. And if someone in Trumps campaign did indeed collude (we donāt know but at the minimum a lot of shady dealings between those close to him and Russia) then it is huge even if it wasnāt the orange clown himself.
As much as I despise Trumpās lies and behavior I hope beyond hope that no one in his campaign did this. Not a piece of me wants the Russia thing to be true. The fallout would be massive and horrible for us.
It could easily all just be Hilary was a terrible candidate which we all know as true maybe the only person Trump could beat and someone despised every bit as much as him.
These are facts though we are dealing with. Russia interfered in our election. They had to have done so for a reason (something had to be in it for them). And the guy who statistically going into that Tuesday who was way behind won.
Again doesnāt mean anything happened but I donāt see how people could claim this is a left thing. It should be both sides dying to figure out why they did it and how much effect it had. Most importantly how to prevent it going forward.
Honestly I donāt see how anyone could be against that.
I can give you three off the top of my head: 1) sanctions (those that were in place before December), 2) preferring a candidate espousing an āAmerica firstā agenda, where world affairs take a backseat (NATO), and 3) reversing the Magnitsky Act (the below article gives a view into that).
Edit: of course a fourth and, most obviously, just to fuck with US democracy. A huge win by itself and a way to test the waters for even more aggressive hacking campaigns here and elsewhere.
Also, let us not forget that Putin hates HRC, and was convinced she was behind anti-Putin demonstrations after their 2011 elections. So part of the motivation might have been as simple as revenge.
I have believed/believe there is a possibility of collusion between high ranking Trump campaign members and Russian officials looking to help point Trump toward a win and HRC toward a loss.
As Iāve said before, I donāt think Trump is capable of pulling off said collusion.
