Trump: The First Year

Two things, treco:

 1. Just wanted to make clear that personally I am not a Trump Hater…just not a supporter.

 2. Again; my apologies. I am unclear on the question. What are people not recognizing and admitting?

I’m perfectly fine calling myself a Trump hater. Someone who constantly switches positions and embarrasses the highest office on a day to day basis? Hate works for me, but if he wasn’t such a tweeting d-bag I could get on board with some of the things he has proposed for sure. I certainly don’t disagree with all his positions though I would argue those change all the time

H:

I’m thinking that we may be viewing “hater” differently.

I view a “hater” as someone who makes up stories and false narratives of a person (like often happened with President Obama).

I don’t do that with Trump. I merely point out the demagoguery and hypocrisy of his own words and tweets

Are you and I just looking at it differently?

Oh. No I don’t make stuff up.

It sounds like you would need to make up the leader of the free world tweeting about reality tv and news reporters surgeries but unfortunately that is the horrifying state of what happens when you vote in a reality star

I acknowledge that the GOP can’t get anything done regardless of how many seats they win all the time. Gotta read my stuff more mang : P

^^ you’re a certified Trump hater.

His presidency has been nowhere near a train wreck

He hasn’t got anything of substance accomplished despite the GOP controlling all 3 branches of govt. His entire administration is leaking like sieve (which is really just following Trump’s lead with Russian ambassadors I guess). He’s burning through staff at a record pace. He spends a stupidly large % of his day giving his opposition in the media huge boosts in revenues.

This COUNTRY hasn’t been a trainwreck, but if his administration hasn’t been up til this point, I don’t know how to define trainwreck.

More importantly,

“…You’re a certified Trump hater…”
And yet I have never given Trump a personal epithet that even comes CLOSE to the derogatory and condescending “Mediocre Mulatto…”

In fact…the worst I’ve called Trump…is Trump…

Gorsuch
Travel Ban + “extreme vetting”
repealing a shit load of regulations including -a requirement that for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated
Illegal immigration down 60%

Expanded the definition of who is considered priority to deport
Withdrew from TPP
Withdrew from Paris Agreement

There’s probably more just off the top of my head

This is fake news.

He’s allowed to share intel if he finds it necessary to do so.

I don’t believe Trump is perceived as “weak”
Good for you.

But with the Orange < insert insult > nickname given to trump from most people here I don’t have a problem assigning the Mediocre Mulatto a nickname

Not my question.

If you don’t want to answer, that’s fine as well. Just let me know

Define enemy.

If illegal immigrants are considered an enemy then yes

Is Trump physically weak? Judging by his physique yes.

Is Trump mentally weak? Judging by his inability to focus and his juvenile twitter account yes.

I would say the rest of the world views him as a narcissist wildcard leading an incompetent administration.

Obama can’t be considered mediocre at this point in time compared to Trump, maybe to his other peers but not Trump. Obama never lost the popular vote, had high approval rates often that Trump will never sniff and had more legislative victories by far in this time frame.

Mediocre compared to Clinton, Reagan, or someone before him maybe. Mediocre compared to Trump? Not even close at this moment in time

If you believe enemies thinking a leader is weak/incompetent emboldens them, why are you constantly asking why we care if the rest of the world thinks Trump is weak/incompetent?

Stands to reason we don’t want the world thinking he’s a manchild with a twitter account because when our enemies are emboldened, American lives are at greater risk.

I’ve made mention of it several times…Congress trying to pass legislation is like whack-a-mole: appease the Freedom Caucus/Tea Party, moderates bail. Appease moderates, FC/TP bail. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Good point @treco @Tyler23. What is a moderate Republican anyway? A Democrat lol.

I would argue we are very hurt with moderate democrat and moderate republicans becoming dirty words.

Moderate to me means middle, sane, capable of working with the other team.
