it’s easy to hide in such a bloated bureaucracy.
You are correct prior to 06’ they had some years where they were making money. But I can’t help but think that it should be privatized. Don’t you think that it would be far more profitable, and customer friendly if that were the case?
Agree, Trump won it, so he owns it. I most look forward to the mayhem with Sessions being the AG and making cities obey immigration laws.
Yeah, there are some big City Mayor’s that are acting defiant. I wonder how far that will go? Will Trump simply cut federal aid of all cities if the don’t comply, or will he send out the National Guard to force them to comply?
You know what the big questions for me with Trump will be?
-
How will he respond when others push back…or say no? (World leaders especially).
-
How will he be at compromise?
So far; he has still been “the Boss”; and while he has had some disagreements during the Transition; it appears that he has not had to deal with real push back and people telling him no.
(He has already proven that he absolutely can’t deal with Political Satire and Comedy).
I think time will tell.
He’ll probably negotiate some sort of compromise that’s what most successful business people do. I don’t see the guy blowing up the world as some (not you) have suggested.
If he wants anything remotely close to a Republican agenda, he doesn’t need to compromise. Democrats didn’t compromise when they had complete control and they rammed bill after bill down the people’s throat. It took some time but it’s obvious that the voters want Obama’s agenda undone. Compromise need not apply.
Was this what you were thinking???
Damn!
I am not talking about compromise with the Democrats.
I am talking more about compromise within “his” own Party and with World Leaders.
^ This right here (what Treco posted) is how Trump is going to keep people in line. I think Trump is going to be a real hard ass with any of these people who get out of pocket.
I think he gets right to the point, and cuts funding to cities and states who don’t fall in line. I want to see what these mayors and governors do, who are talking like tough guys, when Teflon tells them there is no money coming there way.
I want to see my Mayor, affectionately known as Mayor Snowflake (which is a downgrade from the name Mayor Yoga Pants), fold like paper when Trump cuts Federal money to Lost Angeles. We need it, we are broke as a joke.
Oh, that is a thing of beauty. An entire room full of people who unleashed hell on him without a second thought that he might actually win, held hostage for a dressing down, hoping to god that their rudeness doesn’t cost them access to the next president.

how have his meetings with world leaders gone so far http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN13C0C8

if someone insults you, you’re allowed to respond.
I hope he keeps circumventing the media and deliver news through his social media
When you guys say he’s thin skinned or don’t like how Trump reacted to X keep in mind conservatives have been losing the culture war for decades. It’s not just the news media, but Hollywood, college campuses, modern art and probably more things I can’t think of off the top of my head.
In my opinion Trump knows this and that’s why you see him respond to SNL, Hamilton play etc. He understands for the Republicans to win long term he has to fight the left on all these fronts.
Agree: Never ceases to amaze me that the most fundamental right you have “The Defense of Self” is always viciously attacked by the liberal, progressive politicians pandering to their pampered masses. Strange how that works though, a active shooter walks into mall and starts killing people, dont hear anything but people screaming for an armed response. Isnt that strange little gun control dipshits?
Okay, that makes more sense. I can see how his “infrastructure spending” could get a lot of backlash within the party.
As it should. A trillion dollar infrastructure bill with the debt already this high and Yellen talking about raising interest rates ~December? Had Obama proposed that, the Tea party would be prepping to shut down the government to stop it.
We would already have this and an additional 5TT off of our debt, if we weren’t blowing up the infrastructure of the ME and then rebuilding it at mafia pricing.
It is maddening.
Agreed. It is the budget hawks doing a volte face right now that are annoying me. If Obama was pushing a 1 Trillion dollar spend, we all know this would be being slapped harder than it is being.
I’m seeing this in a whole bunch of areas and I despise it. If it was terrible policy, then it is STILL terrible policy even though your side’s candidate is taking office. If it was good policy, it is STILL good policy even though the opposite side might get the PR windfall.
