First…a person like that never would have been elected…and certainly not re-elected…
And the other thing…he understood race probably better than any President we’ve had because he was raised by a White mother and eventually White Grandparents…with Mid-Western Sensibilities and since of responsibility.
Now people like Zeb will say later influences “changed” him…or they will take some out-of -context comment from his book to “prove” his radicalization…but the reality is that this was a President with a keen sense of Race, and Responsibility on a level greater than any President we have had.
(There is a another one, treco. But will it matter to the haters? Nope.)
I would say it’s the opposite. Most people see the headlines and say “we don’t have all the information” then the criminal’s rap sheet comes out and they say “oh see it was warranted.”
Then if it does go to trial (only 48 officers were charged from 2005-2014), the officer is not convicted. But how can you expect a prosecutor who works closely with the Chief of police and The Fraternal Order of Police to become elected and vice-versa, to bring up a strong case against an officer. The same goes for Judges. It’s simply against their interests and would likely result in them not being re-elected.
Government contracts extend far past defence and even within the context of defence there is apparently some wiggle room (Boeing vs LHM). If what we heard about the Carrier deal is true part of the reason they stayed was Trump threatened to take away some of their parent company’s contracts.
I’ve said similar things about his approach to dealing with ISIS. He was converted and he spent a large amount of time in Kenya around Muslims. I would say he knows how they think better than most people in this country.
He has many shortcomings in his foreign policy, but his drone program was very successful and I’d say there’s a reason he chose that method.
And it’s those 70% that are turning out the thugs. Certainly not all of them and I am not claiming that is the case. But again if you read the statistics the black community is in very sad shape and it has nothing to do with Police Officers, or white people.
You have that wrong. They were both thugs and ended up (unfortunately) getting what they deserve.
Tell me have you ever put on a Police Officers uniform and gone into a black area at night? No? Well, you might have a different perspective if you had.
It works both ways. When you have a 12% segment of the population creating such a large number of felonies it is not the fault of the Police Officer…but I think you know that.
Do I have to go on an entire diatribe about slavery and Jim Crow (legal segregation/discrimination) for you to understand the 243 years behind your flawed logic.
93% of black people are killed by black people
86% of white people are killed by white people.
No doubt but how many people are dead in the Middle East because of the weakness of Obama? “Don’t cross that line” Then they cross it give Obama the finger and kill thousands and he does nothing. They talk about Trump being too chummy with Putin yet Putin got the measure of Obama early on and walked all over his skinny ass.
As for deaths in the US, how many more Cops are dead from being assassinated by black thugs because of Obama?
Their families will not have a good Christmas this year. And all he had to do is what he has done with most everything else SHUT HIS BIG FAT LEFT WING LOONY MOUTH and they would be alive today.
And…it didn’t escape me that you did not list the 5 accomplishments that Treco asked you to list.
And I know why…he doesn’t have 5 big accomplishments in 8 years and we both know that.
In fairness, you must admit that writing “I don’t think there any white people that have ever harmed the black community as much as the black community has harmed itself” regarding a country with a history of chattel slavery and Jim Crow is pretty funny.

I can only attribute that to the fact that you are a very astute young man who looks deeper than what he sees in the news. And to that I say good for you! But after seeing how people interpret the news for many decades I can tell you that most (certainly not all) believe a sensational headline. It’s easier…

And one more point you said you were 25 if I am not mistaken. If you think you are going to see things exactly the way you do now 25 years from now you are very mistaken. That is not to say you are wrong on every point you most assuredly are not. But in 25 years you will see things through a different perspective that’s all I’m saying. You have intelligence which you have now and an additional 25 years of wisdom and experience.
