Well @loppar is literally stalking me off this website by seeking out my personal social media. They haven’t spoken out against this or him, not a peep.
Truth is, they don’t give two fucks about unethical behavior they’re just disingenuous shitlibs
Pay attention, I’ll explain now in great detail how the International Jewry stalks people on social media and consequently uses information collected in such a manner to run the world.
First of all, by using this extremely sophisticated intelligence gathering procedure designed to unmask twitter accounts:
Doing a Google search for things you’ve put in the public domain under the same handle you have on PWI is stalking?
No. It’s the equivalent of putting your name in the search box at the top of this page searching to see what you’ve posted.
And if what you say is stalking, every time you do a search to get your latest, greatest insights from Richard Spencer, you’re stalking Richard Spencer. That’s silly.
You’re 31, you moved to Philly from Toronto last year, you’re a Raptors fan, you like playing Settlers and you believe you’re a Pickup Up Artist (I’m sorry, is it 2005?) hence the trips to Poland and Serbia, apparently you got laid in the latter.
Also, you like arguing with feminist bloggers and had a “worldview epiphany” two years ago which I suspect is the reason behind all this.
I found much more but I’m not going to post it for obvious reasons - and it took me just under 5 minutes.
Now here’s some well meaning advice - if I can find this in under 5 minutes it means everyone else can do it - including past, current and potential employers, friends, acquaintances, sexual partners, potential spouses etc.
Nowadays virtually everyone does an informal background check, especially employers.
Unless you’re expecting to work exclusively for organizations with a specific worldview that matches yours or you’re Richard Spencer, you can’t leave such a huge (and controversial) digital footprint without closing some doors and missing out on some personal and professional opportunities - and you won’t even notice the doors have been closed.
This is all fun and games, but I’m seriously giving you a heads-up because you’ve been doing the equivalent of posting your SSN on the Internet for the last couple of years.
I love it when someone accuses usmc and Aragorn of being liberals. It’s like the most insulting thing you can think of to call someone is a “liberal” so that is your default insult. I did read once that the best way to get under someone’s skin is to call them something they’re not, so it makes sense.
You’ve stated several times that the only reason people seem to dislike you in this forum is that you espouse a different ideology, and that we are an Evil Axis of Anti-Raj that lines up against you, Deliverer of Hard Truths. You’re entitled to that opinion, but I earnestly do not believe that is the case. Many people posting here with different ideologies manage to disagree peacefully (Skyzyk, Basement_Gainz, and EyeDentist have extremely different views on many things, but all discussions I’ve observed between them have remained quite respectful). Most of them even do it without telling another person to kill themselves.
Anyways, moving on…
raj, while I have not and will never bother to spend one second trying to learn your real-world identity (mostly because our interactions are limited to an online community and I don’t expect that we will ever meet IRL), I cannot summon any outrage over the fact that someone merely typed your forum handle into Google to see what else would turn up.
If this turned into some sort of off-line harassment - say, loppar found your address or phone number and started sending threatening letters to your home or making phone calls in the middle of the night - sure, that would be unsavory. I assume that loppar hasn’t actually done that (and if he has, that’s out of the jurisdiction of the “forum police” anyway) and that he’s merely reading and regurgitating the things that you already post publicly on the Interwebz, in which case…
This isn’t exactly a “First Amendment” issue but I’ve always liked this cartoon:
Not directly analogous to this situation, but still: if you’re concerned that the things you post online would have consequences if someone found them out IRL, that’s a “you” problem, not a “them” problem.
If someone from this forum actually starts harassing you off-line, I wholeheartedly agree that is out of bounds. Otherwise, I don’t particularly see the issue here with someone looking for your Twitter account.
The point I’m trying to make to @therajraj is that his CV is going to end up in the trash bin a lot, without him realizing it. I was literally giving him some well meaning advice.
And that’s just after 5 minutes of googling and without the controversial practice where the potential employer asks the candidate to “volunteer” his social media usernames and passwords…
Unfortunately, the exhilarating early 2000s era of internet anonymity is over and stuff you post can have serious real world repercussions.
Exactly. @therajraj wants all the benefits of the world’s largest, most open public platform to espouse his views publicly, but wants none of the risks, and demands Twitter, the internet, etc. be a safe space where no one is entitled to challenge or remark upon his publicly espoused views.
If this is the direction PWI is headed then I’m out. I’m here to discuss specific topics and agree/disagree with arguments based on their logic and merit.
What you post online is obviously public domain, but I for one am not interested in the public trial of ones character irrespective of the topic.
It’s a free country, do what you want, I just won’t be a part of it.
FWIW, I agree - the arguments in here should be contained to what’s actually being discussed in here. As I said in my first reply above, I don’t care to look up or learn anyone’s identity in these forums (unless we happen to share a sufficiently common interest that we actually should meet in real life).
I just can’t summon any real outrage that someone did type “therajraj twitter” into Google, and say that makes loppar “unethical” or the rest of us who sat idly by while this heinous injustice to raj unfolded “disingenuous shitlibs” lol.
Just because something is legal and other people do it doesn’t make it ethical or morally correct behavior.
If a woman discards a pair of her used underwear in a public trash can and then homeless person retrieves them, are you going to hi 5 the bum for the good get? There are some things you don’t do, they’re unwritten rules in life.
In an ideal world, in order to answer, interpret or understand a specific argument or a viewpoint one needs to de-contextualize it to prevent ad hominem discussions - which is not possible on Facebook for example, because eventually you end up debating a specific person and/or their background and not the idea.
That’s why these forums of old are rare, because you they allow at least to a some degree this aggregation of arguments into the abstract sphere.
Initially, I even agreed with some of @therajraj posts because they seemed to me personal opinions and valid concerns about specific issues. I didn’t agree with most of what he said, but I could sometimes see where he’s coming from.
But as his guard began dropping, his true opinions came to the forefront and he started dropping the “jew” slur and mentioning concentration camps, I noticed that most of threads he initiated closely matched trending topics in the white supremacist twitter-sphere.
So his “concerns” weren’t something he thought about personally - he was just parroting hot Stromfront topics and using this forum not for intellectual discussion but as a sounding board for white supremacist ideas in order to gauge possible responses.
I googled “therajraj” and found his twitter, as well as too much other information on other forums under the same username and this confirmed the initial suspicion. It’s like talking to a white power twitter bot.
If you’re a self declared white supremacist, you shouldn’t be a crybaby when someone gasp mentions other information you (too) freely and copiously shared on other public forums.
And there it is. He knows he is behaving unethically but it will happily let things slide for people who have committed “thought crimes” in his opinion.
Congrats this is the first time since joining this site that I want put someone on ignore permanently.
Don’t act butthurt. In the adult world, even on the Internet, one should own up to his actions everywhere. You can’t post racist drivel on Twitter and then act hurt because I mentioned it. That’s very snowflake-y.
I’m terribly sorry, but you can’t be a neo-Nazi on Twitter and other forums, and only “against immigration” here. If we put the morally reprehensible worldview aside, it’s intellectually dishonest.
I’ve told you - after a brief sojourn in the early 2000s the Internet doesn’t allow compartmentalization anymore.
