Many of the founders tried to end slavery at this countries inception. Most of the northern colonial founders were against it from the get-go including Jefferson (who is a bit of an enigma in fairness).

Jefferson raped his slaves, that’s a new one. Jefferson himself tried to end slavery numerous times and eventually got fed up with trying. He predicted, correctly, that emancipation would occur in the coming decades. Yes he also owned slaves. How he reconciled the two positions I’ve no idea.

Not off my phone, but if you just google Madison, Washington, Jefferson, et al and slavery you’ll find plenty 9f evidence (actual quotes, letters writtwn documents, etc… ) that support this.

Lemme ask it like this. Do you personally think when an individual (no political affiliation) says something that is factually untrue, they are lying, regardless of intent? Or do you think the intent of whether or not they MEANT to lie should matter (ie difference between 1st and 2nd degree murder).

I’m sorry that you don’t understand the difference between fact and a political interpretation of said fact. But that’s okay I’ve come to expect such things from you. But you do have other good qualities.
