That didn’t answer my question which was based on your logic as to why Muslims shouldn’t be part of our society. So, answer my question, please and thank you.
Thank you for your thorough clarification. Per your request, I’ve taken a moment to stand back and reassess my initial, hasty shot and am willing to concede that I may be conflating your interactions with raj with your interactions with both raj and zeb.
But, in any event, my initial assessment re: comments like, "a muppet tossing handfuls of shit at the wall, desperately hoping that the mess will distract people (maybe even you yourself are hoping to be distracted) from your inability not only to win an argument but even to articulate the outline of one in a coherent, basic-facts-in-order, at-least-this-guy-gets-what’s-going-on-at-a-superficial-level sort of way" remains largely unchanged. BUt, I’m willing to admit that I might just be a fatigable dimwit when it comes to sentences that force even my subvocalizations to pause for some air.
As for the rest: I’m sure that the extraordinarily sharp conservative and libertarian minds of this board appreciate your indefatigable commitment to pointing out that racist comments are bad, particularly because this forum has never been known to censor anyone. About anything. Ever. So, it’s probably easier for you to just keep doin’ you than to explain to the other equally principled posters where the ignore button is. Because real men don’t ignore trolls; they argue with them for hundreds of posts across multiple threads. Leading by example, and all.
Yup. After standing back and reassessing my initial comment, my final concession, and final thought on this topic, is that these kinds of excoriations really are virtuous and not, as I thought initially, aspirations towards something about as principled as linguistic self-indulgence.
But in all seriousness man, please don’t run off to join a religious community. The cross you bear is heavy enough without you nailing yourself to it, and from the posts I HAVEN’T skimmed around these parts, burkas seem just outright oppressive.
How do you reconcile the belief they meant for more the county to be more than WASPS while accepting they saw AAs as 3/5 a person natives citizenship. Don’t those two points conflict?
My wife seems to believe otherwise. She said “You can’t define their oppression,” after I sent her links to a woman in Saudi Arabia that went to jail for not wearing a Burka in public. “How do you know they are oppressed and not following their religion?” Me: “Because they have no choice lol.”
I would generally agree, but I actually appreciate when the more intellectual folks around here are able to articulate their arguments so well and poke holes through the logic of raj’s nonsense. It isn’t valuable to have an echo chamber.
While @smh_23 is WAY over the top and I fully expect to be on the end of one of his Dr. Cox-like long winded rants (Scrubs anyone?), I have laughed multiple times and have learned a lot from his posts.
