Trump: The First 100 Days

we’ll see.

Prior to this announcement I didn’t expect him to play any role of significance in his company going forward for the very reason there aren’t enough hours in the day to run a country and a billion dollar company concurrently.

Seriously? Truthfully no offense here but it seems incredibly naive to think his billion dollar businesses worldwide will play no role in his decision making and that he won’t be involved with them. He is the epitome of hypocrisy and narcissism.

That’s not what I said, i said he will not be able to run the day to day of his company while also being president just based on time commitments.

Will they come to him for advice on major company decisions from time to time? Very likely.

edit: He’s also been grooming his children from a young age to eventually take over his company.

I would change “very likely” to “obviously”, and additionally, it’s illegal. A “blind trust” is meant to be blind, that he has no idea how the assets are managed, to ensure there is no conflict of interest.

I didn’t see any of that stated in the tweets.

Are you privy to details not outlined there or is this 100% conjecture?

Can we tone down the subjective and focus on the objective a wee bit more please?

I only say this because you’re one or two talking points away from the tired lefty “hez da racist” and other hottopic buzzwords everyone is obviously tired of hearing.

It’s been in the news that he’s going to set up a “blind trust” while it’s obviously not going to be blind. By news I mean news networks and articles, not tweets.

I hear what you’re saying, IMO I’m being quite objective in saying he is exactly what I wrote above, I base my opinion of him on his words and actions since he’s been on the campaign trail. I certainly hope for the best.

Did Trump say blind trust or was it reported by the media as such?

I don’t see how the most visible real estate properties and licensing deals in the world, which involve your surname in their identification, can be in a ‘blind’ trust.

I don’t have an answer to this, but don’t think the comments mentioned the other day of ‘Make him sell, no matter the loss.’ are appropriate either.

This is why Trump won. Unapologetically saying certain people do not belong in this country

Trump: Ohio State Attacker ’Should Not Have Been in Our Country’

Right, so media conjecture then?

I’m not being a dick, I want to know if Trump himself, or anyone on his team stated what you said, was what was going to happen. [quote=“robstein, post:227, topic:223365”]

Not sure you get the difference between objective and subjective.

When someone is objectively a narcissist they have a diagnosis from a mental health professional saying as much.

Ya dig? Opinions by definition are subjective. And I’m not saying I even think your opinion is wrong in my opinion, I’m saying I don’t want this to devolve into the typical nonsense.

To believe you are fit to be the leader of the free world wouldn’t you have to be a narcissist?

Every president in history is a narcissist

They dont’ have to be, and you’re right that it won’t be enough anyway.

If I were him, everything would be in partnerships, and anything franchise related I would transfer my ownership to a Grantor Trust with my CPA as trustee. Anything were I had actual direct control would be a bit trickier. I’d consider an independent Management company before my kids, with provisions that protect my estate if I was knocked off or died otherwise.

I’d even look for a “left wing” company too for my management company.

Did hell just freeze over? WTF?

Well, I knew Trump would surpass Obama but I thought it would happen after he took office. President elect Trump saves 1000 Carrier Jobs from going to Mexico. That means that Trump has just done more as President elect than Obama has done during 8 years in the Oval Office.

I am very heartened by this move and as I have been saying those who sell Trump short (the same ones who predicted Hillary would win) will most certainly end up on the wrong end of history.

Very wise advice that he will probably not follow.

I am not the least bit surprised by Trump’s move to save the Carrier jobs. Like all successful business people he sets goals and then works like a mad man to achieve them. He may be crass and not understand the subtleties of how the federal government works as well as his rivals. But, he does know how to get things done. And that is what we need in the White House. I am hoping that some of his other obvious short-comings will not impede his eventual success.

That video was rather shocking. I never thought I would hear one of the Young Jerks say anything good about a republican. If they are going to start telling the truth it won’t be nearly as much fun to watch them and howl with laughter.

you’re predicting he will be a well above average president?

Neither am I.

Trump has always been able to extract concessions from municipalities and States…that’s what he does.

The problem with Trump is that “the Devil has always been in the Details…”.

Details of this particular deal have been very hard to come by.
