Trump: The First 100 Days

My guess about the flag burning?

Control the news cycle and pull attention away from the recount which is ultimately a ploy to delegitimize Trumps presidency.

Guess who introduced the flag protection act back in 2005?

And who created the wave of populism?

Trump hired a guy to listen to talk radio for thousands of hours prior to his run. The same issues came up repeatedly - immigration and Obamacare.

The people, and the national Democratic Party. This has been building since 2010. The massive gains at the Congressional and state and local levels have nothing to do with Trump or his coattails.

Trump didn’t create any of this. And the wave would have carried anyone to victory over Hillary Clinton.

One other point - the people who listen to right-wing talk radio are not the ones who flipped the Rust Belt states that ultimately defeated Clinton. It was people impacted by free trade policies, many of which voted for Obama.

Once again, it was the economy, stupid.

I doubt it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. If Trump immediately picks a conservative Justice to the Supreme Court and the Court rules that it is illegal to harbor illegal aliens, does that not take the wind out of the sales of these large City democrat Mayors who are in love with the sanctuary City concept?

You have been wrong for over a year consistently and you call other people stupid.

Americans have wanted decreases in immigration and enforcement of immigration laws for decades. The enthusiasm for him is a direct result of taking on the issue all the other candidates refused to touch. That’s why people would constantly chant “build a wall.” Seeing your community fill with machete wielding somalians and illiterate day laborers from Mexico is the source of populism Trump created.

Of course we don’t expect you to understand This, you still think the founding fathers were lovers of diversity

I’m not calling anyone stupid, I’m using a common American slogan from the 1990s that explains that the election so often comes down to the economy even when others try to insist it’s some other priority:

Not surprised you don’t get the reference, since you’re not American. My fault for assuming you would.

As for your other claims, they deserve to be called stupid - the bloc of voters basing their vote on the fact that their neighborhoods are under siege by “machete wielding Somalians” is, um, small indeed - and they aren’t the bloc of voters that flipped Rust Belt states for Trump that went for Obama in 2008 and 2012. Those voters voted on the basis of the economy, stupid.

And the Founders did like and appreciate diversity in their day. They had great fondness for other cultures.

Hillary co-sponsored a bill calling for that.

Do you think this somehow helps Trump?

He has pretty much hijacked the presidency.

More, er, swamp draining, it appears:

Also, Trump is selecting a big Goldman Sachs alum/Wall Street insider as Secretary of the Treasury. Y’all remember when, according to Trump, Ted Cruz’s Goldman connections meant he was bought and paid for by the Establishment that must be defeated? Good times, good times.

cough

Isn’t this precisely the kind of swampiness Trump is supposed to drain, not duplicate?

Yes. Remarkable, huh?

I wonder where the donations go? Is it to defray the expense of the event, or somewhere else?

Agreed on the basis of campaign promises and Trump reversing (again). That said I won’t be very unhappy if the man does a good job. Materially I am not strictly opposed to it. The problem is mostly a catch 22–you need someone with experience in the field and experience is usually found in investment banks and Wall Street. However, should you get someone with experience, that comes with baggage both political and real…particularly if you pushed a campaign promise to drain the swamp.

Mnuchin is a Soros puppet. Worked for him and was an investment front for him.

Ever wonder why the Illumunati story never disappears?
Because whether you believe there is such a thing or not, the same thing seems to happen in the world of finance, generation after generation.

This pick is as sickening as considering Romney.

Going to give him the benefit of the doubt until he actually does something in office against the American people’s interest.

That’s why I don’t particularly care about his fundraising with special interests for his inauguration or if he selects Romney as SOS. I will care if it eventually leads to Policies that serve solely special interests

So his kids will take over his business in the “blind trust” and he’ll still be running them, just under their name.
