That is part of the reason so many people are totally against masks. You can’t totally contradict yourself and expect everyone to obey.
Well, people here were already following Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and China with the mask wearing so they “obeyed” when the government made it mandatory. I get it when people are totally against lockdowns and control of personal movement but masks? Surely one can just comply with this since they’re cheap and pose just a minor inconvenience.
Even if they have minimal benefits to an individual, it makes a huge difference when you take exponential growth into consideration.
They can be against all the other stuff at the same time. Refusing to do a simple thing like this because of politics is just silly IMO.
Really I find masks annoying, anywhere that I have to wear one I want to get out of there as fast as possible. Maybe in Asia you guys are used to them but I don’t like it. I wore one initially because I work in a nursing home and I didn’t want to get infected and then infect people at work, and then later because there was an outbreak at work and I didnt know if I had it (I did) and I didn’t want to infect people when I go out. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t wear one right now because I already had the virus, but that’s not an option if you want to go into a store or work.
Well, near unlimited amounts of money and national pride at stake and all…
There’s actually much more, but while I agree it’s concerning I don’t know that this one is unique in that regard.
Not too much of an argument here.
Just to show you guys an example of the problems related to the COVID restrictions and shutdowns, now in downtown Ottawa we have four people dead from overdoses in 24 hours. Obviously it’s not the smartest way to cope with issues in life, but a lot more people have started using hard drugs and overdoses are through the roof, yet few people are dying from COVID.
